I agree but as has now been confirmed by the EFL - they’ve not taken it off the table. And they should have doneI don't think the punishment can be anywhere near the level people are talking about - large fine and suspended points is the most likely and if that is the case I can't see the club fighting it at all as there is little reason to do so.
Any thing bigger is saying that one picture taken from behind a tree is of an equal level of dishonesty as breaking FFP rules or administration rules over a season or so and however you spin it that fact is that those are not the same level of action.
Any other form of wrangling the competitions results is just going to be a legal minefield that the EFL can't afford / won't want to walk into.
What any of the other hounding parties want is frankly irrelevant.
