Back in the day Southampton used to sponsor Northwood Club in Cottingham which was only a good goal kick away from the current training ground. They were a top team in the Hull Sunday League and from memory I think Saints found one player locally, Harry Somebody?
Point is I wonder if they still have any scouts living in Cottingham?
I used to play for Saints when I was in my 50s - great set of lads and Barry Gardner used to sponsor Dean Windass so he often played for us in the City sponsored 7 a-sides. Out training ground was in the Railway pub.

Hello

Knowing the Beeb they'll get it way wrong, but I do wonder...They have to be right, once.
It's a very interesting article which further muddy's the waters.

We have done absolutely nothing wrong here yet here we are as a Club, not knowing when,at what time and who exactly we are to face in a £200 million shoot out.

Hull City and it's fans are being financially punished here and I can only surmise that our Chairman is absolutely fuming !!!!

Youngest broke her ankle yesterday. Will be potted for at least 6 weeks. I don't fancy trying to usher a 10 year old on crutches through the Wembley crowds, so we've been trying to ring the Ticket Office all day to see what concessions, if any, there might be for her, haven't been able to get through all day.

Southampton and Middlesbrough, could potentially be in the final depending on issues to be resolved. Both teams know who the opposition is and can plan accordingly. Only Hull City cannot plan properly because of the potential of two different opponents. That is a major unfair disadvantage considering the importance of what is at stake.

In theory. But in reality, neither Southampton or Boro are in training today and we're likely to know the outcome tomorrow, so it's really going to give anyone much of an advantage.

I think Southampton might be in more trouble than we think. This fellas been at multiple training grounds, and numerous clubs have shown concerns over this in the past. This fella even predicts which member of staff it is. And the Daily Mail has proved it.
