I was fuming watching that. Didn't even show the handball incident or Shaw's assault, never mind discuss them. Probably why I stopped watching it. Really wish I hadn't tonight.

No mention of how many chances we created compared to them, just hints that they thought Man Utd had dropped off in their performance levels since they secured the Champions League place. Thankfully, Carrick, to his credit, put them right.
By some distance it is the worst football programme on the telly. I never ever watch it, and as it happens, never pay the TV Tax either.

When we were in the Championship and Amad played with Roberts they were brilliant together against Championship defences.

Some of us probably can’t understand why Amad doesn’t get so much game time at ManU.
Yesterday Reinaldo effectively stopped Amad who was substituted.

Can it be that Amad isn’t as good as we think or could he have been trying at less than 100% as it was against us, a club I believe he sincerely loves.

I would definitely want him back here but is he being over hyped?
I’ll probably be getting pelters for this but he did look a bit ‘off’ yesterday compared to how we all remember him. Maybe just an ‘off’ day!
Amad is a good player mind, and has shown enough for them often enough. But he does like space to run into, and they couldn't make him any. And when he did have it, as you say he bumped into a full back who knows how to defend. You can get past him, but you have to very clever or very quick, or both .

Totally agree. Couldn’t do anything against Reinaldo.

The thing with Amad at Man Utd as well is that Amorim played him as a wing back but wanted him to be more defensive in his duties and with Carrick he's just not getting a run of games because he prefers Mbuemo.

It's possible Amorim has set him up perfectly for us with improving his defensive side of the ball and with a run of games he would gain the confidence and you would see the best of him again. It's a no brainer for me if he is available and especially if the reported price of 40m is correct!

Really enjoyed the game yesterday, still not sure how we didn’t win, despite the referee being totally biased.
We played with an intensity and a smile and produced some exquisitely beautiful moments. The move that put Sadiki through on goal was excellent and the skill from LeFee to set up Brobby for a shot was outstanding. That’s what I go to the SOL to see, long may it continue, with a few goals added for us too.

He's still a quality player and has been important for Man U since going back there. I don't think he's been over hyped by us, though there are a couple of things to take into account about his time here that we forget. One, the Championship is a lower standard than the EPL, so he's going to have had more opportunities to show his ability and two, the way were set up allowed us to get the best out of him regularly. Roberts could be frustrating as hell at times with his end product, but his off the ball work was excellent. That gave Amad space and support to do his thing.

With Man U there's stuff there that's limited him a bit. Amorim had him playing as a wing back for one, which clearly didn't suit him. Add in players like Mbeumo that they've signed and the size of their squad and you can see how he'd have naturally reduced game time. Then consider that I don't think they're set up to get the best out of him regularly, it often looks to me that they're shoehorning him into doing a specific role that limits what he can do. And on top of that we didn't let Man U play well at all yesterday, we bossed them and player for player I don't think any of their out field players matched their Sunderland equivalent. If Cuhna, for example, hadn't dived and been petulant yesterday I'd have forgotten he was on the pitch! In a game like that, no matter how good you are you can be nullified. I think that's what happened yesterday.

Agree with this, football wise I thought it was probably our best 90 minutes.
Also, the footwork of Sadiki at the start of the move when he went through 1 v1 was outstanding.

It’s a really strong argument that was one of the best performances of the season, lads absolutely deserved the 3 and it does **** on some of the ‘on the beach’ talk.

We need 2 wins last 2, Villa and Palace to win and a bit of luck for something Euro to happen, but the fact that’s even being written shows how phenomenal these lads have been.

We should all be excited for the summer window and next season.

Be a slow window due the World Cup we must remember this.

My take on this is that it was a daft challenge but not a vicious challenge. Angulo, in my opinion, sets himself up for a shoulder barge but realises he won’t connect so extends his arm …

… RLB will have a word and that’ll be that.

As far as Fernandes is concerned, that performance was pitiful. The referee was waiting for VAR and he mimed the elbow a dozen times.

FFS man, he was pulling his twisty little face and virtually begging for the referee to send the lad off …

… that shows just how inferior we made them feel, well done Lads!

I was watching Fernandes closely in the second half and he was becoming more and more frustrated as possession was lost by Man Utd time and time again. They lost the midfield battle to our 3, who were magnificent.
