The polite clapping of the Leeds goals , I was there that night ,in the Shelf towards the Paxton lane endFor those of us of a certain age, playing Leeds at home in a 'must win or relegation beckons' game means surely only one thing....1975!
A 4-2 win and one of the great nights at the Lane - and boy, do we need another like it this weekend!

In those days we could move around the ground, change ends if you wanted to get behind the opposition goals which we did as youngsters years later we retired to the Shelf as it was easier to get to after the pre match pintsThere were two home games that season that stand out: this one and the Chelsea game. We managed to win both and the atmosphere in WHL was amazing for both.
Mind you, the aggro at the Chav game was off the scale. I was up on the Shelf (obvs) but there were running fights around the pitch.

I started off above the tunnel in about '70. There was a small gang of us, including a couple of sisters from Walthamstow (weird things you remember...) but I moved across to the Shelf a few years later.
The West standing area was a bit safer and I was glad to be tucked in there for that Chelsea game, although was on the Shelf near hafway for the Leeds finale.

My first games were in the 66/67 season but taken by relatives with East Stand (very much Upper) seats. I started going by myself in 70 and seats were not cool - or in my budget!

My first game was 1960 age 3 , I went with my grand dad, dad and his brother, don't remember much except the noise, went later age 4 the same season and got to go on a regular basis when I reached 7or 8 ,my dad made a fold out box from plywood wood and I could stand at the front holding on to the hooped railings while my dad and mates stood 3 or 4 rows back as it was kids that got the front rows, then at the end of the game we would wait until the crowds left , all the kids would look for money that got dropped , I found a wedding ring once but we handed it in to a steward who told us that they would find the owner , yeah right
1969, with my dad and late brother, a home loss to Sunderland. It was Stevie P's debut.

'70 for me I believe or possibly '71. Age has deteriorated the memory somewhat.....
From my recollection, t would have been impossible to spot the money underneath the carpet of peanut shells!
My first games were at Barnet and QPR which were easier to get tickets for (and cheaper).
First Spurs game was at home to Norwich in 1994. Sheringham scored the only goal. The bloke in front of me was enormous and kept standing up so I couldn't see much. Was probably @"Thanks for that Brian" ,come to think of it.

My main memory was some gammon two rows behind me getting his backside sat down by the bloke in front of him aafter demonstrating an inability to criticise Jason Dozzell without being an ignorant twat
