Mr Tickets is wrong… again <laugh>

It won best football forum in 2015 at the Football Contents Awards.

Someone on here even went along and collected the trophy.

OMG you're serious aren't you!

That's the thing where people like Geordie Josh are given certificates for posting stuff on the internet.

It's like junior school where everyone gets a prize even if they finish last.

No public votes cast for the forum, just the bloke who runs the blog categories deciding himself.

Every time Farage opens his mouth some racist seems empowered ...

... is it just coincidence?

Everton fan arrested for alleged Semenyo racist abuse

Merseyside Police arrested an Everton fan during his side's match against Manchester City for alleged racist abuse towards Antoine Semenyo.

The supporter was apprehended at the Premier League fixture between the sides at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Monday, which finished 3-3.

Police said a 71-year-old man from Nottinghamshire was arrested "on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence" after "supporters and stewards reported that racist abuse was shouted by a fan".

Nice to see fans reporting it.

Just seen this. Get it around your local networks, on social media. Over 70% don’t want Reform. If they vote right …

So a lad i know, Indian name, mixed race (white british/indian), has been told online, yesterday, on a post about not voting for division, ‘when Reform get in there’ll be no division because you’ll all be rounded up and deported’.
He asked us on a group ‘how many people think like this, starting to worry about our safety’. I know there are a few angles to racism now.
Thats why i’m on here. It’s not a game for some.

I’ve never lived in Sunderland but have travelled in and out of it for matches and little else. I’ve seen parts of it knocked down and large areas left empty and abandoned.

So what’s been happening, over the last few years, has been great to see and I would consider moving there now …

… I really hope this ‘far right’ cloud that hangs over Sunderland just fades away. Seeing people rioting and screaming to leave Europe, etc, isn’t particularly attractive in my opinion.

It's the people who feel left behind that could be most tempted to vote for seemingly anti-establishment Reform. Even though they are actually the establishment on steroids. It's to do with poor job availability, low pay and lack of prospects imo. The same people may have voted for Brexit in the vain hope things would improve - couldn't get any worse in their eyes? Reform is more of the same yet they have a high chance of success.

The improvements in Sunderland are well documented and brilliant. My fear is they may not benefit people (immediately*) who are concerned with poor job availability, low pay, lack of prospects, etc so Sunderland Labour don't get the credit they deserve. People who are marginalised are Reform's target. It makes today's vote so important for anyone who does love what the city is becoming. Go out and show it.

I'll be voting tactically today but I have zero confidence that will be enough to keep out Reform. I get that people can vote for whoever they want, and may feel like they are sick of the same old routine and parties but I find it absolutely baffling that people are falling for "Your Mate Nigel's" absolute bull ****.

This is a party that, if they are eventually elected, want to scrap the Renters Rights Act, the Employment Rights Act, the Human Rights Act and leave the ECHR. But yeah, the boats and illegal immigration are the main issues facing the country and will fix everyone's worries and fears.

After many years this city is finally on the up, with all the redevelopment work and investment changing the face of the city for the better. I 100% believe that will all go out of the window with a Reform council and many families who are struggling to make ends meet will find it much, much harder.

For me, voting Reform is like shooting yourself full in the face never mind your foot.

People are in for a huge shock, my only hope is that if they get in people will realise very quickly what a grifter Nigel Farage is and kick them back out again. It may be too late then, however.

Reacting to the current Energy Shortages, the Government of Norway has decided to re-open some Gas Fields and go looking for oil.
This contrasts somewhat with the attitue of the UK Government ewhere Ed Miliband has previously refused to do this.
I find the logic of the Norwegian Govenment to be rather convincing.

Norwegian government attacked over decision to reopen North Sea gasfields

The Norwegian government has been heavily criticised for approving plans to reopen three North Sea gasfields nearly three decades after they were closed to help fill the gap in energy supplies created by the Middle East war.
Amid sharp price rises in oil and gas since the US and Israel’s attack on Iran in February, Oslo has also given its approval for oil and gas companies to explore in 70 new locations in the North Sea, Barents Sea and Norwegian Sea.
The decision by the Labour-run government goes against the advice of the country’s environment agency and has infuriated left-leaning parties.
“We live in troubled times,” the prime minister, Jonas Gahr Støre, said as he announced the decision, which would “create great value for the community, lay the foundation for good jobs throughout the country, ensure our common welfare and contribute to Europe’s energy security and safety”.
The Albuskjell, Vest Ekofisk and Tommeliten Gamma gasfields in the North Sea were closed in 1998. The government plans to spend 19bn kroner (£1.5bn) on restarting them by the end of 2028 with production to continue until 2048.

They always say you get the Government you deserve, anybody that votes Reform will understand that too late .

I’ve absolutely no idea what people expect Farage to do tbh.

He seems to have one policy and, sadly, has absolutely no chance of achieving those aims …

… exactly the same as Brexit which was a disaster before it even arrived.

There are no benefits, after all this time, and it’s made many things worse. But those who voted to leave are still pleased with their choice even though they can’t name anything good that’s come from it.

Apparently half a dozen lawyers and civil servants destroyed any hope of it working.

To be fair Norway decided to close them in the first place.
