The rumours man! Trafford (for the 175th time), Tavernier, McTominay, Gray. Prolly all crap mind but can you imagine if we hadn’t learned a thing?! We’ll probably take a look at the lad who scored a last minute goal for Leeds.

Assuming Howes going to require more money to improve the performances, does this make him a chequebook manager? Are they all basically that?

Chequebook, not quite, he had a ****load of money and spunked it up the wall but I think you could argue it’s heavily about the structure around player recruitment. Andrews, Frank, Potter great examples. In that regard it’s an area where maybe the club feel they failed, but it’s still baffling as to how nobody carried the can for last summer.

If it was all purely money then Amorim, Slot and Maresca would be challenging for the title.

The cheque book (lol showing our age) will always potentially help any manager but Howe has shown in the past that he can do well without it in his climb from the very bottom to the Premier League with Bournemouth. If anything his later years at Bournemouth and last summer here maybe show he’s better without it or with better people around him involved in the recruitment. Hopefully Ross Hope ( appropriate name) can help there and with Hopkinson also in place this summer will be interesting and crucial.

Indeed I'm getting there.... I suppose it's whether the cheques written are mistakes or not mistakes then more than anything else.

Latest - Tino wants out, sold with Gordon, Tonali, Willock and Woltemade.

Curtis Jones latest to be linked.

Curtis Jones is so Eddie Howe....

Instantly believe it... Same with Delap, Mitchell, king, McTominay and Rashford.

Tbh I don't think he's a bad player, but another pretty dull one from the Howes... Would he really improve our midfield?

I think the more depth Howe gets the worse things will become.

The price of falling away is losing all the clubs best players.. Bruno will probably go this summer also.
