I was trying to be nice & congratulate Hull for reaching the play offs but there's always one .

A soft pen & an offside winner in a game that Norwich dominated, we even rested our captain & player of the season McLean .

You could show that graph for plenty of our games this season reads like most of them, and i was not having a go at you i was insinuating that it was a put down to our players that you suggest you was on the beach, but then again there is always one perhaps you was on the beach in Nov to.

They definitely took the foot off the gas second half

Reactions: DUNCAN DONUTS
McBurnie's goal was obviously marginally offside, but it's what we used to call level before VAR existed.

I think there is an argument that Norwich took it easy at times - all the crucial headers we won near their box which we normally don't is one good example of that - but they weren't uninterested. They really were trying to score at the end, and at one point the keeper went absolutely mad when they gave away a foul in our box at a corner near the end. I was surprised he was so bothered with it being meaningless to them but he absolutely lost it.

I actually thought they were gonna send the GK up for that corner.

There was also the case of Toure trying to wind up our fans when it was as easy to run to the Norwich fans after his goal.

Anyway, who cares. The records show, we took the blows and won it twoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo wan..

Extremely poor take. Our subs nullified you. It was not a case of you lot taking your foot off the gas but more a case of Joseph not giving you a moments peace.

Absolute stone wall penalty but you are right on the offside in that VAR probably rules it out.

Ultimately the better team won. You can screenshot the possession stats but as Hull have proved all season, possession doesn’t win you games, taking your chances does.

I don't think the stats were even particularly in their favour. xG and shots on target favoured us. No one cares about possession if it isn't leading to chances.

real leaders don't need an armbands they just do it, arm band doesn't mean much on the pitch
Arm band gives you much more licence to get in the refs ear ....something McBurnie does walking a right rope ...whilst Coyle who should be using that licence rarely does.
Club captain maybe but never an on field captain. Hopefully it's changed for next season.

We were on the beach , I don't think they wanted to spoil your day when they had nothing to play for .

The winner looked offside but who cares that's the Championship

Didn’t play like you were on the beach. Looked like you really wanted to spoil the party even right at the death. Pushed us all the way, our lads just really, really wanted it and refused to be beaten.

Are you saying for the past month our lads haven’t wanted it?

It wasn’t a soft pen, definite pen. Offside goal though granted but marginal enough to get away with it. We’ll take it. Had enough **** luck with the refs these last 10 games we were well overdue something to go our way. Glad there was nothing riding on it for you lot though.

No. Made this same post yesterday but there was an extra intensity and determination to win yesterday. Things weren’t going our way really at any point in the match but they carried on like anything other than a win wasn’t an option whereas over the last month heads dropped a bit and we let ourselves be beaten by an enemy turning the screw on us. If we had played with that same mentality for 90 minutes in every game over the last month I’m pretty sure we would have done enough to secure a playoff spot before yesterday.
