2-1 Southampton. Caught us on the counter, capped off with a clinical finish.

Sky might well be getting their four-team battle for second on Saturday.

2-2! Jack Clarke with a delicious equaliser. Great build up work in the area, probably won about several aerial and second balls before that went in.

And nearly 3-2. Furlong should’ve headed home and Clarke weaves and rasps a shot off the post and off the keeper’s gloves. Completely sucked the life out of the home crowd.

Clarke almost wins it at the end with a top save to deny him. An absolutely breathless and relentless final 10 minutes from Ipswich. We’ve absolutely battered them.

2-2 full time. What a game! End to end, great chances, and plenty of drama.

Draw probably the fairest result, but I think we had the better chances and almost buried them at the end. Play with that tempo and directness and we should wrap up promotion on Saturday. Kieran got the subs right tonight too - both Clarke and Cajuste were excellent coming on.

That last 10 minutes boy what a finish to the game, really unlucky not to complete the task.

I thought it was a better performance than we've seen most of the season, especially the last 10 minutes but still parts of our game are really bad. Nunez had an awful game, can't remember him doing 1 good thing. Philogene equally 90% awful, then produces the odd bit of magic.

Azon decent performance, gets an opportunity to shoot in on the goal keeper and legs become concrete.

Burns, I love that man. Out for long periods of time but still delivers, may not be technically the best but even after all the millions we've spent he's easily the most effective player down that right side even if looking rusty at times.

Our midfield was often non existent, especially after we'd conceded. Matusiwa has looked distinctly average in recent games, he's a bit of a liability on the ball but usually makes up for it defensively, he's just not doing that at the minute, he's not bad defensively but no where near as good as he was for the most part of the season. Neil continues to look rusty, although he amazingly came into his own in the last 10 minutes and controlled the game.

Thought the defence was decent tonight too. Dara O'Shea has had the odd lapse this season but he's usually an 8 out of 10 most games and appears to be the only player with calmness on the ball. He definitely helped turn the game in our favour at the end with great interceptions and quick passes forwards.

Shame we couldn't have that intensity all game. But I will give this team credit, where they would've folded earlier in the season they have shown some good resilience the last few weeks.

Look frwd to watching 2nd half later, off early to a funeral, not mine just yet, Ipswich will keep me young!

What a great advert for the Championship, not playing safe and really going for it. Nunez mystery man still phased after his Norwich antics.

I think we can relax and enjoy Saturday, and omg, that away end, what terrific support!

Agree with most of ptc's post. Nunez, Jaden and Matusiwa poor again. Odd sub to bring Cajuste on instead of Mehmeti, who has played far more minutes lately. Just as odd as bringing Akpom on instead of Mehmeti. I think McK had an eye on the last game with some of the subs, giving some of our other players a rest. Can also understand why Matusiwa was taken off, we'll need him at the weekend and he's looked drained in the last couple of weeks. Many players looked like the number of games recently has caught up to them. Clarke and Mehmeti have to start on Saturday.

A draw not a bad result, still all in our hands going into Saturday. A win guarantees promotion, a draw or loss would depend on the Millwall or Middlesbrough score. They have to win to stand a chance, if they don't, our result can be anything.

As long as the game is on the ITFC website, I'll be up at 4:15am to join you for the last game!

Come on Ipswich!
