Well, hardly his fault. Surely you knew..? Danny Wallace started to become injured very easily, and recover from injury bery slowly. It was the first real sign of his Multiple Sclerosis. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/8060381.stm

I wonder whether Bridge has become disillusioned with football. He seems to be wallowing in riches and nobody wants his talent as a footballer. As Mancini says, nobody in the Premier League will go near him. Nobody will pay him what he gets now. Catch 22..?

If he doesn't leave in January I have lost absolutely all respect from him. He seems to only be interested in money. Very very sad man

Remember when he was a young Saint that moved to Chelsea to win trophies and then like most footballers only started to care about their bank balance rather than their happiness!

    Have to agree with HR

Wayne Bridge is a sad example of how all the stupid amounts of money being thrown around in the Premier League is affecting the modern game! There are too many players like him sat at clubs getting paid mega wages and never play! Then they wonder why England never have enough quality players in the International squad its because a lot of the fringe England players rarely play apart from cup games!

To be honest he shouldnt be on more than about £20,000 a week for what he is doing! Its about time the premier league and the FA brought in a salary cap or a clause that if you play under 10 games a season your wages are halfed unless you are seriously injured

In todays economic climate it makes you want to throw up when normal people are being made redundant, cant find a job, or in work and having there wages cut and there pensions cut and then you have someone like Wayne Bridge earning £90,000 a week for doing sweet fa! Lost all respect for him

So you're saying you wouldn't do the same?, come on now you know you would. It's not just bridge who is greedy, All footballers are. Even Saints players are greedy ****ers it's how football is.
No footballer deserves 7k a week let alone 200k. That's why football will one day implode.
Why would Bridge give a **** if he plays or not when he is on 80k and has a stunning gf etc. I know I wouldn't, in the end it's the clubs fault for breeding greedy arse players because their willing to pay the crazy money.

it just shows how mental man city's spending policy was / is. They've got a quality team together now for sure but the amount of cash they basically wasted on players like bridge is unbelievable. dont blame bridge for cashing in and sitting tight.

incidently i thought when bridge left saints for chelsea, that was the spark that lit the gunpowder of our demise ...

This problem is not of Wayne's making. It is people chucking money at a club and in the process destroying the game and the palayers.

If I was Wayne I would stay put right up untill the last day of my contract unless of course Man City wanted to buy that contract out beforehand.

It was the first of many self destruct decisions, wasn't it..? Although Graham Le Saux was a perfectly capable LB, the partnership with ol' CMFG had gone, and Saints were far less effective down the left side. Bridgey used to be able to run purposefully all day, and that was instantly something we lacked after he left.

I can't blame Bridge for sitting tight, although I respect him much less. It's the stupid levels of pay and greed that surrounds football nowadays. I don't want to go back to the 70's, but I do wish the Premier League had never happened.

Think the prem should have happened but with a salary cap like rugby.

It's not just the players' pay that is a disgrace about the Prem, but the money the clubs are able to use for other things. The other night I was listening to a football forum on Radio 5 and John Coleman, the Accrington Stanley manager was saying that his club have to compete for spectators with the local teams like Blackburn who are in the Prem. Blackburn can apparently afford to sell junior season tickets cheaper than Accrington, so what chance do Accrington have of building up a fan base?
