Why do you do this? Did you help draw up his contract? Thing is only a few people will know the exact details and the media are just guessing and making up headlines. A quick search shows even the major news sources (sky, bbc, cnn) can't agree on what his pay off will be.

In other Chelsea news, they are in the FA cup semi final this weekend here's how they got there.
However, he did secure FA Cup wins over Championship sides Charlton, Hull City and Wrexham (on penalties) before a 7-0 drubbing of League One bottom club Port Vale set up Sunday's FA Cup semi-final with Leeds.

Why do I do what? I'm clarifying that this is the amount being reported as his pay out. It wasn't simply someone throwing a number out there.

There was a conversation going on about all the different reported and suggested amounts he would get, you came along and said "Thats what he gets" in response to talk of a 24 million payout. Not reported, not suggested, not possibly, not even maybe but "Thats what he gets".

I don't know did you?

I've posted a reputable source now if it helps. Why does it bother you so much?
 
Sky Sports are reporting that there was a break clause and it's nowhere near £24m, The Sun have gone further and said the actual figure is £4m (one years salary). Obviously, I've no idea how accurate that is, but it seems fairly clear that it's definitely not going to be £24m.

I think it’s sites with Newcastle fans running them, or at least where it first started from, but it would be funny if true.

No but it looks like many others on here are.


What bothers me is people who obviously don't and can't know the details and yet post stuff inferring they do. As I said there will be few who know the details of Liams contract and even then a new mutual agreement may have been reached which is different to the contract. Why not just let stuff play out and leave the speculation and guesswork to the media.
