Oh btw Fosse, Ron runs a decent betting league in L1 (only virtual £'s not real money), I'll try and remember to give you the nod when it starts next season, assuming he still does it. It's on the Wycombe board, and the guy that runs the horse racing forum on the site.

Your fans will not be back, you will lose an average of 10k off your gates, that's one third of your attendances in the Prem lost. That's hell of a hit for a club loaded heavily in debt. You are probably going to be the most debt laden club in L1 possibly at potential risk of being put into adminsitration. The only way those fans will come back is with instant promotion. It took Leeds three seasons and Sunderland four, so you best set up camp mate for the long haul. Shame my lot were **** this season, otherwise we could have had decent bantz.

If they’re bobbing along in 15th then yes but fans come back at any level when the team is doing well. Maybe not sellouts every week but they’ll be getting into the 20s if they’re doing well.

I was basing my one third off on their average attendance of 30k+ in the prem - so yes 20's, that's still a massive hit.

Now consider that to the likes of Sunderland who broke the record with over 46k lol. Sunderland hold the record for the top three highest attendances ever in L1, then funnily enough Leeds against my lot.

The record for the highest attendance at a single League One (third-tier) match is 46,039, set on 26 December 2018 at the Stadium of Light.

Historic Attendances
While modern records are frequently broken, the top of the list is dominated by major clubs that found themselves in the third tier:
  • 46,039: Sunderland vs Bradford City (26 Dec 2018) – The current all-time record for a third-tier league game.
  • 44,742: Sunderland vs Sheffield Wednesday (May 2022) – A high-stakes promotion clash.
  • 41,129: Sunderland vs Portsmouth (April 2019) – One of several crowds over 40,000 at the Stadium of Light that season.
  • 38,256: Leeds United vs Gillingham (May 2008) – The previous long-standing record set at Elland Road.
Anyway my work is done now. <whistle>

****ers, could have waited another week.

Nice 6 yr contract they need to pay off
I know, absolutely mental to give him a contract that size.
When the **** was the last time we had a manager stay for 3 years, let alone 5?

I thought this must have been a wind up and then have just seen it's a real job advert <laugh>
Following random Spurs employees on LinkedIn is gold. Some IT **** the other day banging on about their new world class stadium app and ‘David Cohen, partner at Deloitte’* or similar commenting “maybe read the room” or “does it include directions to Lincoln?” and the bloke’s losing it over people not just being happy for his stupid little app he’s probably sat in 500 project meetings to launch.

*made up a name but there’s an 88% chance a David Cohen is a partner at Deloitte.
