OoooppppsMate - we'll have Fatawu and Mavididi the two wingers that were so instrumental in our last Championsip waltz back next season ... plus a better defence and, for many, better keeper ... midfield is perhaps the puzzle ... but we'll be much closer to the top than the bottom if the division, fir sure ... no matter how many 'wishful thinkers'
I said this to Fosse at the beginning of the season. The owner (Top is it?) is more interested in his horses than the football club imo.
The club has gone backwards at an alarming rate of knots, since the old fella died.
But…PSR or something!
Every team that has a bad season or breaks the rules, screams about PSR. Meanwhile teams like Brighton who manage their finances superbly are currently fighting for a champions league place.
Some positive news. He’s absolute ****e for anyone not regularly watching the pub leagues.

Who knows? - not me for sure. But you've got to take the positives. The club has taken sensible contractual moves to ensure we won't be asset stripped for peanuts - which is all you can do.
The infrastructure is still incredible with one of the best training grounds in the world and that investment is paying off in terms of the young talent attracted to the club and now coming through the youth teams.
We will apparently save over £420k per week when particular contracts run out in the summer.
The fans voted with their feet as we seemed to sleep walk to relegation, putting out much the same toothless and underperformed line-up game after game. Easy to say in hindsight, but Rowett's appointment was a disaster - we weren't good under Cifuentes but we would likely have stayed up.
But - new dawn new era. The fans will come back once a better manager is in place and the dead wood is pruned - on and off the pitch.
Certainly my own mates are not overly despondent - indeed the banter has already started this morning around plans for particular away games next season.
As I've said on many occasions - for a club like mine the fans don't choose it - it chooses you - but we do need to be entertained and not ripped off - football is full of ups and downs; I've seen lots in over 50 years of following my club - but l'll still be getting the usual buzz of expectation when the fixtures for next season come out - the division we're in won't change that - in fact, the novelty of some new and different matchday experiences may give it an extra charge.
When life gives you lemons, eh?
Mate, at least you can say (and you do....a lot) that you have seen your club win the Premier league....not many clubs have done it

... and an obvious factor in the size of my fan club on here!Would throw in winning the FA Cup - my old man got to witness 4 losing Cup finals in his lifetime - that was the closest we had come to winning any real 'glory' - excepting a League Cup final in the 60s.

Most the clubs L1 and below are in financial trouble, the only way you survive down here is by being a conveyor belt for the Championship and Prem. My club is no different, only trouble is we've only got one player on that conveyor belt at the mo, maybe two, not to the standard that's going to bring in any decent bucks. There's only a couple of clubs that have that off to a fine art.
Another thing to be aware of down here if you've got any decent young players, I know you like your youth, be prepared for them to be crippled, if you are anything fancy the big boys are just going to take them out - you will need to work as a team and look after one another, in short don't allow yourselves to be bullied - some call it cheating, well ****ing get use to it.
Your next problem is everyone is going to see you as a scalp and want to remind you the level you are at now. If you think you will walk this league, think again. Lincoln are the top boys this season and it's taken them many attempts and much heart break to do it, you could be down here for a lot longer than you plan, and your first game will be a culture shock to the team.
You have to remember when Leeds and Sunderland were down here, they are massive clubs with the support to match, sadly Leicester are only scampi fries, just an imitation snack, with fans that have disappeared because the going got tough.

All good stuff mate - but we have been there before ... and the fans will soon be back once they feel the players are really up for it and committed to the club ...
Was always a fan of JJ - let's face it, some fans are plain ****ing stupid - he made a few individual errors last season, yes - but he wasn't the real problem at all - the defence was under constant pressure due to the lack of any real outlet.
I also know, from personal experience, just how long it takes to fully recover from an ACL, and the lad had a ruptured achilles on top ffs!
Fans have short memories- he fully deserved the England cap he got and he was phenomenal in the winning FA Cup campaign.
Now looking much more like the player he was before his injury problems. A steal for £8 million.
Always thought he had the potential to develop into a top centre-back tbh ... indeed, at the time, was hoping him and Wesley Fofana would go on to be a long term CB pairing.
All non top 6 fans would be more than happy to accept a large **** period for winning the league and FA Cup.
L1 is great too, first round of the cup and no international breaks (in theory, assume that lots do get postponed these days).
I'd love another trip to L1, would get me closer to the 92. Starting to run out of grounds in top two tiers
Your fans will not be back, you will lose an average of 10k off your gates, that's one third of your attendances in the Prem lost. That's hell of a hit for a club loaded heavily in debt. You are probably going to be the most debt laden club in L1 possibly at potential risk of being put into adminsitration. The only way those fans will come back is with instant promotion. It took Leeds three seasons and Sunderland four, so you best set up camp mate for the long haul. Shame my lot were **** this season, otherwise we could have had decent bantz.
