I know. It’s unlikely the league will be this poor, for sometime. We’ve just been pretty unlucky with injuries. We still have a chance and that is up to the players.

I do think that's hiding behind the injuries a bit. We were at our best weirdly when we had loads of injuries.

Maybe they've caught up with us, who knows, but our first XI is strong enough now to get at least one win against Oxford, Birmingham, Sheff Utd or Leicester.

Any thoughts on why we aren’t?
Unrest in the camp!
Manager losing it?
Acun interfering?
Split camps in the dressing room?

It’s a quite spectacular loss of any sort of form

Lack of focus and a bit of stage fright would be my guess.
We have experience throughout the squad. I wouldn’t put it down to stage fright. The fine margins we enjoyed over most of the season, we aren’t benefiting from at the moment. 2 poor penalty decisions at Sheff Utd and Leicester by referees.

Supply to McBurnie has also been poor with Giles out. Some players out of form. The injuries do have an impact as we are constantly having to shuffle the starting 11.

what ive noticed last 2 games in particular, is massive space between the players when attacking
whenver we push forward the nearest player always seems to be miles away, even last night late on , Egan went through and there was nobody anywhere near him to give it too.
always seem like we are a man light.

Ye I can’t remember what happened prior to it but why was Egan up there with that shot at goal???

to my untrained eye
we seem quite an unfit squad

I think stage fright can come in many ways though - not necessarily ****ting it, but also starting to coast as they think its come.

guess he went up there to add numbers, but would like to think there would be a winger or attacker for him to slip it through too, even on Saturday against Birmingham, there was hardly anybody near Mcburnie, we hit him with all these long balls and nobody around him.
earlier in season when we won all those away games, we were ripping teams apart on the break with quick incisive link up , not sure why we look so different now.

2 games left, this is one of them.

We need to better Wrexham’s results, I’d rather have our two than their two. More concerned about Derby sneaking in, which they won’t.

Time to stand up & be counted, unlike the whiny arse **** puffins stood behind us for the second half last night. Even moaning as we equalised.

Charlton irrelevant to it all, just a small step to get over, which we will.

City 3-0 We’re on our hols.

I don’t think it’s an issue with ‘the camp’. I see no signs that the squad isn’t still solid and together and focussed. We often start matches well - we were utterly dominant for the first half an hour last night - but drop off as times go on and the opposition find gaps on the pitch. I think we get nervous - and I think we are not always that astute tactically as the game develops.

A fair bit of switching off also
i think the manager has to take a bit of stick for that, mentality issue for it to keep happening.
i dont think kicking off and fighting with the other bench and referees everytime a decision goes against us helps.
i actually liked it at first, thought it showed " passion" but i mentioned last night we need calm heads after conceding, and his manic nature seems to spill onto the pitch,
and not jumping on the Coyle bashing, but your skipper is meant to control that on the pitch also

Looking back across the season it feels like almost every game our opposition will have a spell of real momentum at some point. We seem to struggle to ever really stay in control or maintain momentum ourselves for very long. I couldn't say what causes that but I suspect there must be a tactical element.

And we expect players to stay calm when the manager is losing it game after game resulting in yellow and red cards.

Calmness, and standards, start at the top. If anyone is feeling pressure I think we know who it is by his behaviour.

If it was up to the players GLP, an opportunity existed not too long ago to be top 2 .... somehow Millwall got the memo...
