I’ve said it 1000 times but Koumas can run fast and is decent attacking a cross. He either needs to play upfront against a high line for throughballs or just dont play him. He’s pointless anywhere else.

It seemed like the worst possible change for me. Geldhart out right and slater in the middle with crooks advancing would have been the best choice, Joseph on the right 2nd, particularly as we were already in front and just needed to control the game which is exactly what Joseph is good for.

Kind of see the logic behind it though as we were getting Belloumi in behind easily and Koumas is even faster fo running onto those balls.

Hull City assistant head coach Dean Holden speaking in the post-match press conference:

"Disappointing thing for us is that we got ourselves into a leading position again. Four games out of five since the break and we've not been able to see it through.

"The message at half-time was to try and get on the front foot. We knew they were going to come at us and take even more risks.

"We concede the penalty, I've genuinely not seen it back so I can't really comment, but I believe it's a disappointing one.

"We were giving everything as were they. I'm sure it was an entertaining game because it was end-to-end, it was like a game of basketball at times, but that became dangerous for us because they've got such good players in those one-on-one duels.

"Ultimately we've got to take the point, as disappointing as it is, and move forwards as quick as we can."

"Ron - my optimism has been deflated.."
I think he'll get a manager's job in the summer.

Sounded like he was tempted by the offer in Turkey, but not quite right/wanted to finish the season here.

Despite the wheels falling off for us, whatever happens, hope we keep Serge and back him in the summer.

Yeah suspected as much. Boro will be safely in the play offs too so can easily see two Wrexham wins, no idea why anyone thinks it's a tough two games.
Yes true we've just thrown away 9 points in the last 5 games from winning positions .
I really can't see anything more than 2 points and as we normally lose the last game of the season id say it's already curtains move on to next season .
Not sure what the financial situation will be though .

Absolutely dire. We will have to sell players just to meet financial commitments from this season.

Wishful thinking. They have a guaranteed 3pts tmw against Sheff Wed - who are relatively speaking, the worst side I've ever seen in a division with City,. 76 pts with their GD equals play offs.
Are they? Coventry didn’t get 3 points against them

They have Wednesday tomorrow morning. Win that and they're fine.
Just read that and remembered it's early morning for you.

Thankfully, as it's late here, I can escape the misery dictionary (page after page after....) via kip.

Whereas, you're saddled with this ****e all day.

Interestingly we could win no more games but concede 2 fewer goals than Wrexham and qualify for the play offs
It’ll be ironic if it’s decided on goal difference for the second season running.

The reaction to our captain on Twitter isn’t good tonight.

When the video in the pub with his protective boot on was posted, lots of people defended him. When the video at the weekend was posted, it was quite split on the opinion of it. Tonight, it’s very negative about being out at the weekend and the performance that followed with some of the tweets liked 100s of times.

Talk about putting yourself in the firing line

IF’s, But’s & Maybe’s, it’s too late now, this season is finished along with Hull City, see what next season brings playing, Lincoln, Cardiff, West Ham, Burnley & Wolves & the usual suspects.
Also depends who our manager is.

This will be seen as apologism but is there any evidence he was drinking? I saw that video of him doing a little dance but does that necessarily mean he was getting wasted or could he have been drinking diet cokes and tucked in by 11? If he really is out getting pissed on a Saturday with a Tuesday game then that is ridiculous and it would be ridiculous that the club/management can see it all on social media but seemingly don't care. Which makes me again wonder is that really what happened.

Even not drinking it's a bizarre decision and look when he's been criticised for doing it previously. Why go out at all?

Agree, it’s the obviously not wise him being out in the circumstances but he could be showing his face for a friends or family members celebration or anything. If he was drinking it would surely be known about at the club and he wouldn’t be playing every game, not a chance. And there would be loads of photos and videos of him with a beer in his hand on social media - there’s not.

Too much being made out of it, but that’s the sensational world of football.

disappointing result.

leicester must dread playing us. today we relegated them and back on august 13 2016 they lost their first game as reigning league champions against us.

He has nobody to blame but himself. I doubt he cares though. He signed his new contract and we’re saddled with him for three more years.

I'll probably get pelters, but if Barry Bannon was our Captain we might've made it. We have a weak midfield, he isn't. We have a weak Captain, he isn't.

If Slater hadn't been injured we'd have made it. We have the players in our squad, they've just been injured at the worst possible times.
