As I often do, I think we're overly fixating on selection decisions and subs rather than performances. We've been poor for a long time and now we seem to have totally bottled it. God knows why, but it isn't because of which winger we bring on at half time or how many minutes Joseph plays. Our best run was when we had loads of injuries and a far weaker squad to choose from than we do now. Doesn't make sense, but it's been a theme in recent years.

I don’t know where this idea Jakirović is strict came from. He’s intimidating because he’s a big guy but he seems soft as ****e. Gives them loads of time off and clearly doesn’t have an issue with the culture of boozing within the squad.

People think the mentality would change this season to be more resilient compared to last because of certain characters but really it’s just a mentally weak squad with low standards of professionalism and a few undisciplined gobshites sprinkled in.
