Great week and a great win today. 39 points will be enough.
Honest thoughts on today was that we had a good twenty minutes until the second goal went in. After that we were ****e. We did try and just keep the ball and slow things down and control the game but you also need an end product or at least the threat of an end product. We knocked the ball sideways and backwards and eventually Wolves would press but instead of playing through the press or over the press we would just lose it. Playing poorly and winning 3-0 is a really good sign of a good side.
A few notable mentions from today if I may.
Okafor looks full of confidence and is our only match winner. He's played more football this season than he has for years.
I've been critical of Aaronson recently but the ball in for Okafors goal was outstanding. Didn't think he had that in his locker.
Darlow pulled of a truly world class save from the header. Not sure I've seen a better one anywhere else this season.
DCL hardly won the ball all game. He's a physical presence and a willing runner but he needs a goal from open play to give him a confidence boost.
Tanaka has been outstanding again today and it would be a mistake to sell this summer.
