Woltemade was presented as a number nine who isn't defined by his height ...

... that's proved to be true because he's weak in the air whether he's attacking or defending.

His other issues are that he doesn't seem to strike a ball cleanly, lacks pace and struggles to find space on the pitch.

He was supposed to be incredibly adept at passing in tight situations and bringing in other players.

I honestly don't see any of that and wouldn't want him anywhere near our squad ...

.., but his biggest problem is that he lacks heart.

The Wizard of Oz lion is honestly who he reminds me of and I laugh every time I see him ...

The mags Lillian Llandes but £65m more expensive:-)

Funniest part of the Woltemade thing this season is that when they beat Qarabang away- Howe made a big thing about him being found a new role - playing behind the centre forward. So the £ 69 m. best in the world striker plays behind a winger who was chosen over him to be centre forward .
He was such a success - that the idea doesn’t seem to have been used again

Well if it worked against that level of opposition then surely it should be a success in the league?

You would have thought so. It is not unknown for a bought player to find/ be found a new position . We had no problem not getting the forward we thought we were getting when we discovered what Mr Watson started doing at centre half,
Maybe that’s the answer for Nick , get him to defend his goal …….. oops

It was sarcasm on my part mate. The level of opposition they were playing against there was low. So anything would have looked good, but is unlikely to work against premeir league defences!

So, they’ll focus on the WC? Like improving their stadiums, etc

There is already talk of them reducing the ground programme. The LIV thing could be a merger mind, or something else, but the Saudis are definitely rationalising, whatever that might mean in the long run.
