Absolutely awful news, tragic loss of a young life at 48, no matter who you support/don’t support, puts football in perspective.

FORMER Arsenal goalkeeper Alexander Manninger has been killed at the age of 48 after his car was hit by a train.

The incident that led to Manninger’s death occurred at an unguarded level crossing on the Salzburg local railway in Nussdorf am Haunsberg, according to local police.

Condolences to his family, RIP Alex Manninger.
