Got the 4th and 5th on an each-way.And....
In Strubers last nine, Port Vale, Leicester, WBA, Watford, Coventry, worse? That was the worst game I've seen all season..not sure Burgzorg controlled it once..he is dreadful
I agree the result was quite good. But the football from both teams was awful. Anyone neutral watching that would have wasted 2 hours of their life...In Strubers last nine, Port Vale, Leicester, WBA, Watford, Coventry, worse?
Just to add; I think the last time we could undo sides that set out to defend as a tactic was our promotional season under Cotts - but they were LEAGUE ONE sides and we were flying.I agree Cliftonville. In perspective it wasn’t that bad a game. We’ve had FAR worse. Just frustrating that yet again we fail to put away any of our golden chances, following loads of possession.
QPR played like the away side; closing ranks and parking the bus for much of the game - 11 men behind the ball - a tactic that successive Bristol City squads under successive management regimes have struggled to break down. It leads to an infuriating stalemate with very little entertainment value, hence the exaggerated comments on these forums.

Since being in the Championship, we have struggled to break those sides down.
I did not see yesterdays game, but from the posts on here I can easily picture the mundane spectacle. However this has to be improvement from the nadir, and nadirs Mr Struber was reaching.I agree Cliftonville. In perspective it wasn’t that bad a game. We’ve had FAR worse. Struber had, indeed, struck treacle with a poor set of performances and results. However, I suspect that his sacking was more politically motivated, rather than triggered by events on the pitch.I did not see yesterdays game, but from the posts on here I can easily picture the mundane spectacle. The same could be said about successive losses for LJ - but the board stuck with him after he oversaw a club record losing streak - not to mention ‘sir’ Nige who should have been sacked after ‘that’ WBA game, but wasn’t - but ultimately WAS sacked after he’d turned it around.
The board are not consistent in their treatment of their managers. I suspect personal reasons play a huge part.
