I said this morning I am Maximus will win. Even said again before the start. Did I put money on it, no because I’m a Dimlow who wanted an outsider. Still got a place on Favori De Champdou so got the money back and a bit on the other horses me and the wife done. The wives friend who I said I am Maximus would win listened to me and got a bonus to visiting today.

£200 pound day out yesterday at lofus road drank on that green and??? Two teams getting in banks of two when the other team had it and neither team wanting to win it in between with the points there for the taking for the team prepared to go past the walking football. Vitek was more at risk of sun burn than a QPR attack!! city subs levelled that up with an eleven thats scored seven goals between them all so season so fairs fair the QPR keeper could also get the deck chair out.

I agree Cliftonville. In perspective it wasn’t that bad a game. We’ve had FAR worse. Just frustrating that yet again we fail to put away any of our golden chances, following loads of possession.
QPR played like the away side; closing ranks and parking the bus for much of the game - 11 men behind the ball - a tactic that successive Bristol City squads under successive management regimes have struggled to break down. It leads to an infuriating stalemate with very little entertainment value, hence the exaggerated comments on these forums.

Just to add; I think the last time we could undo sides that set out to defend as a tactic was our promotional season under Cotts - but they were LEAGUE ONE sides and we were flying.
Since being in the Championship, we have struggled to break those sides down.

I did not see yesterdays game, but from the posts on here I can easily picture the mundane spectacle. However this has to be improvement from the nadir, and nadirs Mr Struber was reaching.

Struber had, indeed, struck treacle with a poor set of performances and results. However, I suspect that his sacking was more politically motivated, rather than triggered by events on the pitch.
The same could be said about successive losses for LJ - but the board stuck with him after he oversaw a club record losing streak - not to mention ‘sir’ Nige who should have been sacked after ‘that’ WBA game, but wasn’t - but ultimately WAS sacked after he’d turned it around.
The board are not consistent in their treatment of their managers. I suspect personal reasons play a huge part.

I think Bristol City's results in Struber last nine games went beyond poor, losing to bottom of the table Port Vale, getting beat at home 5-0, losing against anybody. I think they demonstrated that the Head Coach had lost control. When Struber publicly criticised players abilities, and their attitudes he brought into question his own capabilities to coach. Your team Gerard are playing like faeces, and if you can't do different its time to remove you.

The result. 7 points out of 9, unbeaten, two clean sheets. No longer playing like faeces.

Without being mr I know it all Hodgsons done what was going to be expected and steadied the sinking ship. Dull as fck but back to basics and very simple football!!
