Think some thought there would be a new manager bounce and this would be a type of a game we would lose.Nerves?
What have you got to be nervous about?
Not finishing above Newcastle?
Pushing for European places, playing against a team wildly underperforming but with a potential new manager bounce... And worry about a case of "after the Lord Mayor's show" following the Newcastle win. Home form ahs bee poor recently. All togerther made it a bit of a nervy affair.
Surprisingly ****e atmosphere.
Brobbery a dirty prick.
Enjoy next season in the PL.
I know it’s unlikely but if the results go our way on the next fixtures (game 33) we could be 6th.
We've historically had a tendency to slip up against poorly performing teams and give them a bit of a springboard. Thankfully, this team seems to be breaking all the old Sunderland "hoodoos"!European spots are wide open true.
Can't remember it ever being this close so late in the season.
As for us "underperforming" and/or having a new manager bounce, this has been our level for almost two years now, and three new managers have failed to produce a bounce.
He was just stronger than them, as usual.Loads of spuds fans saying Brobbey is cheat and the dirty prick ( their words) should have been sent off
When they get a chance to look at the game again they may think fair enough 6 of one and half a dozen of the other. On the other hand they may think we will buy him but I think he is too good for the championship or possibly league oneLoads of spuds fans saying Brobbey is cheat and the dirty prick ( their words) should have been sent off
