Worst ref decision was when we had them under the cosh and Millar got away from the Jap and the other back player , only to be taken down - ref doesn’t even book him !!

For a 0-0 draw and few chances it was still a good watch and a great performance from the boys.

Collyer looks like the missing link in midfield, just what we have been missing, and he worked well with Amir.

I thought the gaffer got his tactics spot on, just need to improve the final ball into the box.

The back 4 all played well, particularly Ajayi and Egan.

Plenty of plaudits from Coventry fans, if we can keep this level of performance over the last 5 games, we should get over the line.

One small annoyance from last night, early on Millar got to the by line in really promising position but tried to cross with his right foot and messed it up , I commented to my mate about wingers who play on the other side these days needing to cut in and if he could use his left foot that would have been a great chance , then about 5 mins later breaking again and he played a lovely 30/40 yard cross field ball with his left foot to Gelhardt , why the **** didn’t he do that at the by line <laugh>
Noticed that too, but I think it was because there was nobody in position to cross to. He had to delay until our forwards, particularly McB got there.

(Edit: oops, should have carried on reading replies first)

If that pitch affected his technical players , then ours are better as they have played on it when it was really **** and done ok . There’s always some reason except real acknowledgement that an opposition has stopped them and put them under pressure . Their forum also decided their players were tired and leggy , with several games over Easter most players are .

And as I said earlier he praised us so get out of your small town mentality

But theres undoubted problems with our pitch

Just sat and watched some short highlights, but based on the comments here we were better than the highlights..

I hope Serge says to the players 'see, this how good you can be, and yet you probably have 10/20% more to give'...

the only difference it seems between Coventry and us is that they have been at it against the teams we should have been mullering...

On Amirs foul Grimes booking, was that that that much different to Hughes at WBA...?
Much further out and they had a covering player. Can see why it was a yellow.

Totally agree , I really enjoyed the game last night but how many chances did we actually create ?

Koumas got into some good positions but he can't seem to deliver a decent ball into the box at all
I felt Joseph should have gone out on the left when he came on and put Koumas up with McBurnie for those last 10.

Koumas stretched them time and time again (and did some great defensive work too) but the crossing is poor.

I thought he was pretty much the best ref we've had all season.
In the league - I agree.

He could have booked a couple of players in the first half but he kept his cards in his pocket and kept control of the game.

The linesman on the West Stand side was poor. Got a couple of offsides wrong.

It was really really disappointing not winning, we would have had a shot at 2nd, although we possibly still do have, but you're right, that point last night was massive.
It’s a strange one re second place. It’s as though no team is outstanding enough to claim it. Good league or average league?
