Good game that. Perform to that level 2 or 3 more times between now and the end of the season and we’ll be in the play offs.

We’re going to be at least 4 points clear after Wrexham play Southampton tomorrow. Worst result would be a Wrexham win which would still leave Southampton with a game in hand.

Excellent, well earned point against tonight’s Chumpions elect.

Let them hate..so long as they fear eh Fwank?

UTT.

Wrexham win is the best result. Leaves us in the driving seat and hopefully the chance for one of the leagues strongest squads to miss out.

Very different game to what I expected. Limited Cov to little even when the became open in the middle. Ajayi and Egan did have some dodgy moments but always recovered well, which we haven't been doing previously.

good game of footy that. I was worried we'd give them too much respect, but we took the game to them and pressed excellently. Ajayi was immense, dealt with Wright and then Simms excellently.

Collyer and Amir in midfield with Crooks in the 10 looked good, makes me wonder why it's taken so long to see it. Hopefully they stay fit as that's the most balanced, we've looked in the middle for a while.

I'd rather face Wrexham than Southampton in the playoffs, but we've got to get there first.

A draw where they kick lumps out of eachother marred by injuries and suspensions would be ideal.

I think serj needs a massive amount of credit to drop hughes when hes been in poor form

His replacements did not let him down

With slater injured

Collyer and amir start every game when fit

So much energy, cohesion and calmness on the ball

You can see why collyer is rated
But can he stay consistently fit?
I wouldn't change that team, only Coyle looked poor from the starting 11. Gelhart im giving a bit of leeway because he was playing a position i don't think is his best.

Certainly makes me wonder why we look so slow and laboured in many games when we can rock up and play like that against the champions elect.

Just got home. Buzzing. Cracking game, performance of the season for me. Just a shame we couldn’t top it off with a goal, but a well earned point. A big, brave call to drop Hughes, but the right one, also big call to start Collyer, I didn’t know he had that performance in him, he was phenomenal. Amir & Collyer bossed that midfield, credit to each man, all played their part. If only we could have put that level of performance at Oxford, but that’s City for you! Just need to repeat tonight’s showing at Sheffield. UTT

My thoughts exactly.

Thought the players deserved more of the crowd there at the end to clap them off, but during the game thought the atmosphere was much better tonight as we fed off the players’ effort.

Noticed Collyer trying to stretch around 10 minutes before he came off. Could see his substitution was coming but a great 70 minutes out of him.

Funny thing about tonight, usually when you say an entertaining 0-0 , there was woodwork getting hit, keepers making save after save , but there wasn’t really but it still was an enjoyable watch somehow , we looked like a team who could compete in the play offs if we get there when at times we haven’t looked like that
Think it’s because we looked “up for it”
so to speak for the first time in a while.

A decent game and performance, you can say what you want about fat Frank but he sets his sides out to play the right way, they have an ambundance of quality and not too many injuries.

Main thing was Serj played the right side with a bit more energy in midfield and put Crooks back into number 10. Despite his effort I thought Crooksie had a poor game but the standard was quite high this evening thankfully. I'll disappoint a few when I think we maybe should leave Gelhardt and look for a proper number 10, someone with guile, class and intelligence. Gelhardt is an out and out winger I feel and you can't have your marquee signing sit behind Belloumi (thats if we don't go up).

I thought the back four with excellent tonight, helped by sitting a lot deeper, with Egan being my pick. Collyer and Amir where also very good. We just missed that moment of brilliance.

Problem with a Wrexham win is if Southampton win their game in hand both teams are within 3 points of us after 41 games, leaving us no buffer room.

If Wrexham lose the earliest we can leave the top 6 is after 43 games, not 42.
