I remember once on a direct flight to Aus (Perth) it’s about 20 hours long I did the pissed sleep cycle 3 times. It got messy. Never did the direct flight again. Always a stop over in HK, Shanghai or Dubai after that.
Took me days to recover lol

Suspect we'll go 5 at the back for this one, considering our troubles in midfield and staying solid.

I'd drop Ajayi personally with Hughes and McNair in a back 4 but I don't see Serg doing that.

Think we'll go:

Pandur
Drameh Ajayi Hughes Egan Drameh
Amir Crooks
Belloumi Joff
McB

I'd go for it. I know its the end of the season but this is as free hit as we've got between now and then:

Pandur
Drameh McNair Hughes Coyle
Amir Crooks
Belloumi Joff Joseph
McB
So good you picked him twice :emoticon-0100-smile

Drameh has been decent but having him play left and right back might be a bit much

I get that this is meant to be a positive way of looking at it but to me it's playing us down unnecessarily to say we have no depth and everyone else is so much better equipped. I don't think that's the case at all, and I really don't think we should see finishing inside the top quarter of this division as a 'miracle'.
We have fk all depth, its not playing us down, its called being realistic !

We didn't lose to any of our remaining 6 opponents in the reverse fixtures earlier this season.

4W and 2D.

Let's repeat that.
Coventry were our first opponents this season; seems a bit odd that the reverse fixture is our 41st.

Barring rearranged games I wonder if this is the longest gap between in-season reverse fixtures we've ever faced?

One for any Stattos with a massive database.

We have a huge squad. More senior players than we can register. We changed 5 players yesterday purely out of choice, after winning our previous match. How much depth should we have, or how much do other clubs have?
I agree. It’s not like we have 22 players in the first team and the rest are academy boys. We actually have a big squad but constant injuries give the false impression that we don’t. Not registering Akintola shows that we have a big squad. The issue is that we’re paying £35,000-a-week for an out-of-shape Lundstram and we have a Man Utd midfielder on loan who has played 42 minutes for us in over two months. Our best midfielder got injured and the head coach doesn’t seem to trust the aforementioned Man Utd loanee to start games and prefers to rely on some of the slowest, least mobile players I’ve ever seen.

Depth in quality as I mentioned in the opening post, we are scraping the barrel, with frees and loanees, who really aren't particularly very good ! Forced upon us to make the squad numbers due to embargo. But we can argue the point all night,

I didn’t get to see the Oxford game in great detail as family selfishly turned up at 2.50pm so only had one eye on it mostly , I see most people not selecting Joseph for tomorrow , did he get injured or was he really poor ? Just this type of game against a good side is usually when we need his pressing, etc

Joseph, Gelhardt and McBurnie all struggled to have any real impact against Oxford. Of the 3 Joseph had the only decent chance and he made it easy for the keeper to save it.

He wasn't really poor though and currently I'd play him instead of Gelhardt. Belloumi looked the pick of the front 4 and if he's fit, he walks in. If McBurnie's a shoe in and if Millar probably starts then there's no room for Joseph and Gelhardt together as the priority has to be to strengthen the midfield.
