With Slater out, we are going to have to use Collyer, McCarthy & Gyabi better to give us some energy in midfield. Starting with a midfield of Lundstram and Crooks is asking for trouble. I think we need to go 433 rather than the 424 as we are perpetually overrun in the middle of the park, but that means dropping a forward. But, hell what do I know.

Think a lot of you are being unkind to Serj, given the hand he has been dealt, firstly with the embargos and secondly with the string of constant injuries he has performed miracles a) to get us where we are and b) to keep us there. We dont have enough depth of quality in the squad, simples, yet Serj more often then not has put out a team to deal with the situations in front of him, and how the fk can you blame the manager when player A cant pass to player B from 10yards away ? What happens behind closed doors is different and I'm pretty certain he'll have made his thoughts clear, but outwardly he is doing what all good managers do, by not throwing anyone under the bus. This season has been a joy, certainly after the last couple of insipid seasons, just enjoy it for what it is, there's no 'failure' if we don't get into the play offs, its a fkn miracle we are were we are, the sad fact is that this is a long season, the teams by and large pushing up there have good quality in depth, or haven't had the nightmares we've had with injuries. Coventry are OK, nowt special, on any given day anyone can beat anyone in this division, let's have a go and see what happens.

It’s almost as if someone at the top has moved the goal posts, adding a lot of pressure, half way through the season after saying a top half finish was the target. Part of me worries that we’ll see another victim of unrealistic targets at the end of the season.
This would be a much bigger choke than LR

Phillips had a great game yesterday and deserves to keep his place but Monday is a big gamble. Got a bad feeling he’ll have a bit of a clanger, get punished for it making it 0-1 and it’ll be one of those “why the **** was he even playing” things. I can feel it in me boner.

Serg has already said Pandur is back in.

Hairy muff, what was the reason for Pandur being dropped? I do think Phillips deserves a chance after yesterday and him getting a run in the team will probably also be good thing for Pandur (or at least would have been earlier in the season). But maybe not against Coventry when we really need to win. As I said, just that feeling. Bet Pandur will do it now instead <laugh>

Why did we sign him then? He has played a grand total of 42 minutes in two months. There are six games left. If he’s not good enough or fit enough to start with Slater out then he’s just an expensive training cone.
Maybe more was expected of him but he's failed to deliver? I don't know.

Pandur was rested because he only got back from the USA, with jetlag, a day before the game, and played no part in training in the buildup to the game. Same with a few others.

I get that this is meant to be a positive way of looking at it but to me it's playing us down unnecessarily to say we have no depth and everyone else is so much better equipped. I don't think that's the case at all, and I really don't think we should see finishing inside the top quarter of this division as a 'miracle'.

Suspect we'll go 5 at the back for this one, considering our troubles in midfield and staying solid.

I'd drop Ajayi personally with Hughes and McNair in a back 4 but I don't see Serg doing that.

Think we'll go:

Pandur
Drameh Ajayi Hughes Egan Drameh
Amir Crooks
Belloumi Joff
McB

I'd go for it. I know its the end of the season but this is as free hit as we've got between now and then:

Pandur
Drameh McNair Hughes Coyle
Amir Crooks
Belloumi Joff Joseph
McB

Been all over the world and I've never had it, maybe it's just me. Gone into work the day after getting back as well.

Some get it some don't, some get it some times and some times don't. I'm fortunate that I travel a lot for work, middle east, Africa, Asia etc and most flights/trips I don't get anything but then some I can get it pretty bad.

I get it bad…..but that could be linked to the free booze in the exec lounges & on board the plane….correlation or causation? :emoticon-0105-wink:
