In a post on Truth Social, Trump writes: "The United States of America is in serious discussions with A NEW, AND MORE REASONABLE, REGIME to end our Military Operations in Iran.
"Great progress has been made but, if for any reason a deal is not shortly reached, which it probably will be, and if the Hormuz Strait is not immediately 'Open for Business,' we will conclude our lovely 'stay' in Iran by blowing up and completely obliterating all of their Electric Generating Plants, Oil Wells and Kharg Island (and possibly all desalinization plants!), which we have purposefully not yet 'touched'.
"This will be in retribution for our many soldiers, and others, that Iran has butchered and killed over the old Regime’s 47 year 'Reign of Terror'."
The Iranian response has been that American marines will be butchered, and fed to the sharks in the Persian Gulf

I won't be surprised if the Charlie has a heavy bout of flu in late April to early May. Doctors orders to rest and recuperate, you know, not able to travel anywhere for a couple of weeks...
I’m no royalist but understand with Trump some soft power works and given our economy we have to try and keep him on side. However given his disgraceful comments on our armed forces and the complete disrespect not only of the UK but NATO I would say no visit. I’m sure Charles will hold his nose if he has to meet him.
Charles should have been visiting Canada and Greenland to show support for them (on one of our carriers). Instead of cosying up to that orange blimp.
Good shout mate. Cancel the US trip and go to Canada and Greenland instead. It might make sensible Americans wake up.

It wouldn’t surprise me if the King ‘pulls a hamstring’ before the state visit to the USA. Trump is basically calling our PM, soldiers and Royal Navy cowards. I’m not a Royalist but I wouldn’t appreciate our King having to tolerate that while being patronised, on the White House lawn, by such an obvious fraud.

… the last thing we need is other world leaders acting like Trump and lashing out.
If ever we needed a reminder of why Europe should stand together, despite our differences, this is it in my opinion.
No wonder we're slowly rebuilding our alliances and trade with the EU.
Cool heads are needed in my opinion.
Unfortunately this is exactly why, I'm sure the majority of leaders around the world would love nothing more than to tell him to **** right off.
He's probably the most embarassing leader any country has ever elected, but also one of the most dangerous primarily due to his ego.
