Depends what you want. To get away from it all, with beautiful beaches without travelling for ever, it's Northumberland for me. Great if you have a dog too.Whats the best seaside

Northumberland (again) is going to be our first foray of the season on the bikes - it's an awesome county, great roads, great places for food and drink but best of all, the people are totally sound. After Scotland, it's my happy place.Depends what you want. To get away from it all, with beautiful beaches without travelling for ever, it's Northumberland for me. Great if you have a dog too.

There is a fairly small beach inside the harbour but as regards a decent sized beach noI almost added that onto my post. Beautiful town but never done beach there so can’t really comment on the seaside aspect.

If it's north of whitby I don't tend to go that wayYou must be getting it confused, the beach at Whitby is massive. Yea there's a small bit in the harbour but I wouldn't class that as a beach.
Off the top of my head ....Aww an argument isn’t just repeating what the other person says

Nope it's right in the centre, just head for the pier and it's to the left of it. Huge beautiful beach, obviously not there when the tides in though. Sandsend is just north of Whitby which again is a lovely beachIf it's north of whitby I don't tend to go that way
