Whats the best seaside

I always go south. Lyme Regis is very nice but way too popular on a weekend. I quite like Weymouth, not pristine but nice enough with a very good beach where the bay protects very well from winds and currents and very shallow for going out on paddle boards and kayaks. Pretty much any beach in Cornwall. Tenby is also really nice.

Moving away from seaside towns, more remote beaches like Lulworth Cove and Newborough beach are absolutely stunning, Newborough in particular with its backdrop of the Eryri mountains is proper idyllic. Newborough is never busy either due to its vast size, remoteness and limited parking. That would probably be my #1 beach in the UK but due to its position on Anglesey doesn’t get calm, scorching beach weather all that many days.

Depends what you want. To get away from it all, with beautiful beaches without travelling for ever, it's Northumberland for me. Great if you have a dog too.
Northumberland (again) is going to be our first foray of the season on the bikes - it's an awesome county, great roads, great places for food and drink but best of all, the people are totally sound. After Scotland, it's my happy place.

Aww an argument isn’t just repeating what the other person says
You can’t name any as there aren’t any
Agreed

I’ll let you plod on now
Off the top of my head ....

Budget chains - Premier Inn, Lobster Pot

Non chains - Salt (harbour), Monarch, Revelstoke, Sefton, Royal, Seacourt ....... I'd recommend Manor Court to anyone.

If it's north of whitby I don't tend to go that way
Nope it's right in the centre, just head for the pier and it's to the left of it. Huge beautiful beach, obviously not there when the tides in though. Sandsend is just north of Whitby which again is a lovely beach

Next time I’m in EY for more than an hour or two I’m going to make a point of going to Brid. Not been for awhile but it seemed very run down and tacky when I was last there, which has been a fair few years now to be fair.
