I haven't watched it back yet, but it certainly felt that way. I felt quite deflated at half time, but hopeful as it was only 0-1.
Am sure a 2nd watch, without the stress might change that opinion.
I never thought they were better than us. Maybe slightly first10 but it was very even after that with neither side having a clear cut chance.

Much like @Smug in Boots says, I never thought we looked like we would lose

Mackem Bob phoned the ITV this morning, to enter their mystery prize competition. The presenter answered….

"Congratulations on being our first caller, all you need to do is answer the following question correctly, to win our Mystery Grand Star Prize".

"That’s Fantastic!" Bob called out in delight.

"Feel Confident?" The presenter asked, "

.. it's a Geography Question."

Bob smiled to himself…

"Well, l've got a degree in Geography from Oxford University, and l've taught Geography to A level students for the last 20 years, so, yeah.. I'm feeling pretty confident"

“Ok then, to win our grand prize of 2 VIP tickets to a Newcastle Utd home game, and to meet the players after the game, what is the capital of France?" …

"Eastbourne", Bob replied.

Newcastle support Tonali all through his ban, he bottles the derby, plays for Italy ...

... and now wants out of SJP <laugh>
And they think they will get a massive profit!

They won't like. His form and attitude this season will temper the appetite of the middle and uppish clubs, though this is where he will end up , and he isn't good enough to play for the top notchers. If they get their cash back they will do well.

Then they can ask Eddie's nephew who they can waste it on!<laugh>

Jesus this bint is thick as ****! Our players are overachieving apparently. Seems like Xhaka was never nominated fir Ballon d’or etc etc!!

This highlights something that stands our a mile.

This stupid tart is stereotypical of the kind of click bait merchant that appeals to the Mags. Their supporters lap up this kind of drivel like a dog at broth.

Look at their content and it’s overwhelmingly arrogant boastful Super-Geordies like this slapped arse, True Geordie, Josh, Adam Pearson, etc …

… whereas Sunderland have a mixture of the daft, enthusiastic and knowledgeable.

Anthony Gordon, with his stupid comments, is their hero and that says everything …

… our hero would be someone humble and professional like Xhaka.

Look at their content in compassion and it’s overwhelmingly arrogant boastful Super-Geordies like this slapped arse, True Geordie, Josh, Adam Pearson, etc …

Apparently she has an "only fans" site where she sends subscribers pictures of her bits for a small Fee. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

"Love how Geordies are singing about Sunderland running away as 30 Mackems walk through unchallenged and put a couple of slap on them. Embarrassing".

This is a comment from a Man Utd supporter on one of the clips of our lads arriving at SJP
Thousands of them as our lads n lasses came in but hardly any at the end. Broken :-)

It's what I said about them being a mirror to us. The arrogance, lack of humility and self awareness, lack of awareness of other teams, the sense of entitlement, the sense of superiority, the need to denigrate opponents, the need for self validation and excuses when it doesn't work. She really typifies them.

I know we have some idiot fans, but they're a tiny minority and don't reflect the vast majority of us. That lot, though, totally the opposite and it seems a competition to appear the most "Geordie", trying to out do each other. And no matter what they do to try to project, losing to us hurts them more than us losing to them because they can't accept it, it damages their fragile little egos. A bit like the "52000 screaming Geordies" but ignoring the pressure Keegan days when they were lucky to be drawing crowds of over 10k, myths that can have holes picked in them by anyone with knowledge. Because of their insularity and poor media following cliches about them they believe the bullshit but it makes the truth more hurtful when it happens to them.
