I'm not defending RAWA but, ffs, it's a very complicated situation ...

... people demanding a rapid response and statement are being silly in my opinion.

It needs to be a thorough assessment, not a rush job that people easily pull to pieces, which they gleefully would.
Agree mate...club have already done the rush job & thats why its a complete mess now

Wow, who is this Locke's SAFC on RTG ...

... day after day saying RAWA doesn't represent him but stamping his feet and demanding they give people answers.

More than a tad hypocritical.
I thought long and hard about replying to them yesterday and realised they’re probably a bot or using AI to respond. My last thought was to wind them by saying thy have so much passion they should become a rep themselves but remembered they are probably not real :-D although the language about representation being male focussed probably thinks thy could just be a misogynist twunt.

Presumably RAWA is in contact with the club around, some have unrealistic expectations of an immediate response, when unfortunately this should never have happened & the discussion takes time getting to the right people.....unless we want a response from a clearly incompetent ticket office manager.

The club (or ticket office manager) have backed themselves into a hole, it needs sorting & sorting properly, just a really disappointing situation created by the club & unfortunately one they now cannot fully put right, which I pointed out at ticket off pre Brighton game unless they reinstate mag tickets until they categorically prove the 65 are doing what they are being accused of.

BUT the starting point here of is to lift the ban imposed, especially given there were facebook pages advertising tickets & they were only warned..... essentially treating people differently, discrimination??? Another meeting with the guy with someone sensible from the club to understand things further, then set a date with him & all other branches with an agreement for all meetings no actions will come as a result of conversations held (extremely difficult to sell now given trust issue), agree nothing will change with ticketing this season (theres only 2 more application processes).

It needs to be an open forum in which the branches are listened too & their operations understood completely before á way forward is agreed, clubs way forward needs running back by branches & supporter groups prior to publication.

Loads travelled all over through L1 struggling to get tickets, loads younger finding it difficult to begin away journeys & ive got load of sympathy.....I suspect a load of the moaning comes from those now interested as were in PL or were only interested in Leeds, Boro prior to this season which i have no sympathy.

What i can say without question.....there will still be moaning as it's simply impossible to have a perfect system.

Yes they're dealing with it, but they don't want to post public details about it, which is fair enough. They're in a hard place as if they post details, they'll get dissected by others and could jeopardise a solution to this. If they don't post details, all the conspiracy theorists come out with nonsense.

They're also now dealing with feedback from the police escort and Nigel Farage so there's a lot going on! I feel sorry for the person who looks after the contact address as the email box must be overflowing by now.

Plus they're all volunteers with jobs, families and other responsibilities, so that has to be factored in too.

Absolute nonsense, half a dozen people on a Sunderland chat forum are demanding answers now!!!

You might think that, if they're so desperate to hear what the club have to say they could manage to contact the club directly ...

... but please try to remember these are unpaid posters with jobs, families and other responsibilities <laugh>

Mine is a different problem
I’m my brothers personal assistant (although you don’t have to name your personal assistant}
He now dost fit the criteria So according to safc I’ve never had a ticket I’m named on the ticket even though for many years I’ve attended home nearly every game over the past 10/15 years and beyond and many away matches
My situation now is I have to apply through the waiting list to get a season ticket (that I have already been named on for years)
Wish me luck
However I’m not holding out for any ticket in the near future

Just a little foot note 74 years old now been to home and away all my life now I’m on a waiting list
No waiting list in the 70s 80s 200s when I had all my season tickets
Hope you get sorted mate.

Sent the following email/ask safc a week ago for the ticket office, thought id give them the time advised on my receipt confirmation to reply, but wasn't expecting one & obviously didn't receive one. Wanted to raise awareness of the issues caused, which will apply to all branches as i dont see how they can be treat different to this one....unless were discriminating against this branch for some reason.

Hello

I send this email to bring to your attention & highlight the issues the club are creating with the treatment of XXXX XXXX, knock on affect the branch he runs.

I have travelled as part of XXX's group since the league 1 days with my two sons, therefore making this expensive but enjoyable period with my family providing them the lifelong addiction of following SAFC to various parts of the country & experiencing as many grounds as possible.

During this time XXXXX has made the travel extremely cost effective as well as very organised.

I should have been booking my tickets for Aston Villa today as intended, however since the restrictions now placed upon XXX I need to arrange my own transport. Prior to fixture being confirmed as being Sunday 2pm, train travel for myself & sons was £123, post fixture change once in from work was £188. A difference of £65 & unfortunately now making the game unaffordable. See attached screenshots to evidence.

Without question XXXXs arrangements would have allowed him to price freeze the pre fixture change pricing.

I do not know the exact details of the accusations made against XXXXX, however do not believe they can have differed from that of other branches, yet the resulting punishment clearly differs vastly.

I do not believe the club have fully considered the workings of branches, time & effort applied or the need for branches to be in a position to know stable numbers at games to ensure coaches can be filled or in XXXs case fulfil commitment with train companies to ensure discounts can be applied.

The club have priced myself & sons out of Aston Villa, potentially other fixtures along with no doubt others & are at risk of destroying the branch network. The club were once known as the 'caring club'.

I look forward to a reply advising how the club intend to ensure the future of branches (once seen as critical by Sir Bob Murray) & urge a rethink of the punishment applied to XXXX XXX, not only for him but also those who XXX made travelling (particularly families) to away games affordable.

Best regards

The statement from the ticket office is, basically, someone with a spade trying to dig themselves out of a hole.

I'm sure they believe this has put an end to this issue but I'm just as certain it hasn't.

Once KLD sees the letter that's waiting for him I don't think he'll be at all pleased.
the ticket office needs sorting out urgently it worst part of club at moment

This is my gripe mate, with the ticket office and changing of the disability criteria, which was done without any communication from the club at all only to be told ‘I should read the small print’ in the ticket office. Fuming doesn’t go close to how I was feeling.

Could you message me the details mate. KLD has now become aware of this category of problem, corporate complaints and others, which are being created or made worse by the ticket office.

Rather than invite reasoned discussion they’re choosing to retreat to their bunker, issue increasingly ridiculous statements and blame the supporters …

… they’ll be proposing to Eva Braun soon the way they’re going.

Dont normally post on RTG but have added few bits to the conversation, might be worth a check of page 122 re statement from club being only 11 contacted the ticket office, between me & 2 posters on RTG we come to 9 of the 11....very hard to believe the figures published by the club are correct...... Club currently giving a very good lesson in poor customer relations/satisfaction & then when clearly further discussion needs to be held & a rethink on punishment dished out, their not owning the problem & dishing out stats that are very questionable which is making things worse

UPDATE - 17 of the 11 are no confirmed as contacting the ticket office, asked on RTG if RAWA can go back to the club on the figures which are clearly incorrect.....or politicians figures & not what we expect from the club we support

I've just been sent an email from an SAFC branch member regarding the Villa game.

It's asking which members want tickets and if any are able to buy tickets that they can pass on to others in the branch who don’t have the points.

This is precisely what the ticket office are claiming people will be sanctioned for ...

... and what Paul, on RTG, received a 2 year ban for.

Feel free to post this anywhere you choose.

I’m not trying to cause a branch problems, just highlighting the fact that this will decimate the branches who help keep things going through all the bleak times.

Thanks. I need to go through that thread at some point over the weekend and pull out the useful bits for RAWA.

I've found it difficult on there this week due to the hostility towards me.
