Blondes have more fun but redheads are more fun
Reminds me when I was a rocker in the early sixties there was a motorcycle cafe on the Watford Bypass called the Busy Bee

There was a poster advertising the drink 7up

It was a gorgeous curvy redhead sat on the edge of a swimming pool, there was one guy stood behind her, two sat either side of her and four forming a semi circle in front of her

The caption was It's more fun with 7up, I wonder when the penny dropped

Trump is currently like a moth in a Lighting shop, colliding with one bulb after another whilst getting more unbalanced with every hit (anecdote copyright of Fosse News <whistle> )

A decade ago Trump was very publicly throwing his toys out of the pram at Obama giving Iran money in exchange for nuclear and prisoner concessions - but he's now (in an attempt to slow rapidly rising gas prices) lifting sanctions on Iranian oil that have been in place for 50 years and which will benefit Iran by a cool estimated 14 billion dollars - you couldn't make it up.

Per Democrat Senator, Chris Murphy "We're literally putting money into the pockets of the very nations that we are fighting right now. We've never seen this level of incompetence in war making in this country's history."

Senator Mason may need to ensure he doesn't have 'slippery wet tiles' in his bathroom after that last bit <laugh>

Corrupt as ****...

I know somebody who is a city trader in London. He's got a place down here too. He was telling me that just before the US attacked Iran, loads of bets were put on the price of oil going through the roof. He did describe the process, it was a two fold thing. One was basically betting, he likened it to a Paddy Power for Traders and the other was buying up futures, so I presume buy low and know it's going to sky rocket.

He said some people were making hundreds of thousands of dollars in the space of minutes and the only way they could have known was if some insider knowledge had been leaked to them

Corrupt ****ers.

So the latest analysis seems to be that Steve Witkoff was in some talks with Pakistan, Turkey and one other country which I didn't catch the name of over Iran re future negotiations.

The assumption is because it's Witkoff, he likes to put a positive spin on things to encourage negotiations - like he does with Putin over the Ukraine war.

So the guess is Steve went back to Trump, played out his role positively, and Trump has thrown it all out of proportion like he does, and regarded that as having negotiations with Iran, they're not.

This is all conjecture but shows how you can't tell Trump nowt, even if things are progressing slowly, very slowly, because Trump only ever hears the win and wants to portray it as such, when it couldn't be further from the truth.

Absolutely.

No film has left me seething more than The Big Short.

Not just because it's superbly written.

No lessons have been learned and nothing has changed, the banker ****ers have just gotten better at hiding it.

If this war ends today, or shortly, there is no way that Trump & Co can 'spin a win' ... not even to the daftest MAGAs - yes they've taken out the regime's most prominent figures - but these have all been replaced - and, more importantly, there has been no regime change (indeed, the effective resistance to Israel and the US may even help it). Yes the US / Israel have destroyed key infrastructure - but not the capability to rebuild it and also to again pursue a Nuclear programme... particularly if the US lifted oil sanctions do indeed generate 14 billion dollars...

Iran, on the other hand (and contrary to the majority of expectations), has shown it can hit the US (and the West); where it really hurts - the economy, the costs of oil and gas - who knew they had the capability to make the Straights of Hormuz a no go zone for their 'enemies'? - Iran has also demonstrated that it has the capability to hit US interests in other countries and that Israel's 'iron dome' and other defences can be penetrated - also that Israel's own Nuclear facilities are potentially vulnerable to Iranian missiles ... finally, that it appears Iran has many more missiles and drones than estimated (or, at least, the capability to produce them).

Nearly every claim that Trump has made about the war and its progress has, to a greater or lesser extent been debunked or dismissed... and is now making him look increasingly foolish, both abroad and, more importantly, at home.

You mean he's a bullshitting ego maniac who is completely out of touch with reality, and not a word he says can be trusted or taken seriously?

I think we already knew that tbh.

History is written by the victor - remember being taught at school that the A bombs ended the war and saved more lives as a result - as I grew up, and started to question things, soon realised that this was complete and utter bullshit - Japan was isolated and vulnerable - the first 'bombs of peace' were more a statement of US military might and posturing as a new world order took shape ... plus a bit of payback for having their pants well and truly pulled down at Pearl Harbour...
If the the bombs weren't dropped Japan would not have surrendered and in that case the slaughter of anyone within reach of the Japanese would have continued as would the USAAF fire bombing campaign on the Japanese cities .
The idea the Japanese would have surrendered anyway is clearly wrong or else the bombing of Nagasaki wouldn't have happened

Trump can and will.

Pakistan have confirmed they stand ready and honoured to host any peace talks.

Your opinion ... but I strongly disagree - Japan was on it's knees and facing the prospect of a Soviet ground invasion given that Germany was done ...

Don’t think the Red Army was up for that at all, do you know how many men they lost fighting the Germans? They were exhausted, and most of their resources were a continent away

The only way I can see him achieving that to the level he wants is by sending ground troops in to overthrow the regime - which I sincerely hope he doesn't - but the bombing has clearly failed...

Tbph what Trumps does, achieves or claims, I honestly couldn't care any less.

My perspective on this this morning was pure conjecture to speculate Witkoff was probably having talks with Pakistan, and hey presto, Pakistan put out a statement hours later stating they are willing to host peace talks.

As I speculated at the time there was three countries involved in these so called willing to host talks, it's been confirmed now that one was Pakistan, as suggested earlier I reckon the other is Turkey who also could play a huge role in this.

That leaves a third Country, wild guess by me is that is Qatar (Edit: seems it's Eygpt). So the pieces for me are starting to fit the jigsaw, in my head anyway, unless someone can give a different negotiator to the table.

I'd probably take more note of what Witkoff is doing than anyone else. He just needs to stop ****ing telling Trump. <laugh>
