Because its what Uruguayans do. From the BBC, its obviously part of Uruguayan culture, so I don't see why its deemed racist here.
One thing I think could of happened here is after the two incidents, the media and many other people have had an out burst saying racism is a massive issue in football, even though its not, and the FA have got scared and panicked.
Mate, have a day off. Racism is disgusting, it's probably the worst thing in football and I dispise anyone who follows it through. He's come to England to work and should respect the fact it's not acceptable here.
I mean what about Blatter? The fact he gets away with it, says that instances like this should have a handshake, says it all. **** the lot of the corrupt bastards.
Good decision, racism should not be tolerated. Suarez has a hot temper and this is a fair and just punishment. Racism is a major wrong in society and to let it go punished lightly or not at all would send out a wrong message. The FA have handled this well.
I thought even the fact that the FA appealed the Rooney ban was a discrace and made me furious. It let and such a bad message and made it look like violence is ok in football. England dont even need Rooney.
I was expecting us to get a kicking but not like that. The evidence better be absolutely incontrovertible otherwise they've set a precedent that will have repercussions way beyond Suarez and LFC.
I tell you what also won't ****in' happen... The FA won't launch an investigation into the nickname the united players give Evra. Oh, dear me, ****in' NO!
Amazing spurs. Still to see evidence & you are declaring it good & proper decision, it may well be but you're showing your own bigotry before the facts.
Ben Thatcher got 8 for his elbow on Mendes didn't he? Can't see any reason why persistently racially abusing someone on a football pitch, shouldn't be be an 8 game ban. I wasn't aware there was enough evidence for that though but I guess we'll find out very soon.
It's only because race is involved that the punishment is so harsh. There'll be all sorts of behind-the-scenes pressure for the FA to clamp down on racism.
I'm sure racism is unacceptable in Uruguay to. What he is saying is Suarez, even if he said the words, it doesnt mean he was actually meaning to be racist.
As has been said before, team mates having banter and a playful word is nowhere near as bad as a strong rival doing it. (I still don't think either or acceptable)
Yes he will, The FA hate southern clubs. JT is England and more importantly Chelsea captain so they will want to make an example out of him, if they don't suspend him it will mean Suarez will have good grounds for appeal
Cause it's Terry, everyone knows. I'd be amazed if he got one and if he does then fair enough, but it probably wont be as bad as 8 games. We'll see
They wouldn't have made this decision without evidence. Suarez has shown on numerous occasions he has form with not being able to control himself... ie. Swearing at the Fulham fans... Racism needs to be dealt with severely, the management team need to have a serious word with Suarez, his attitude and temper is outrageous.
Not sure 'persistant' racism has been found here. What happened to Rooney after his elbow? 8 games is just extreme. Without precedant which says it all. We're being used as precedant.
