Unreal. Here you assault another player in a way that an ordinary person would receive a criminal conviction and you are given a three game ban - nothing more. Now some apparent verbal abuse and you get eight games? No wonder why football is in an utter mess.
8 games sounds like a reasonable punishment for racial abuse, but it didn't sound like an open and shut case to me. I'm very surprised by this. How long's Terry's ban going to be?
Why is it wrong? If Terry is found guilty I expect the same treatment. Or do you all not think he was racist?
Good point. It's all wrong. He's being made an example of. I've never heard anyone being banned for 8 games. I mean for that surely he would need to end a players career or something. It's ****ing stupid.
Well KK has been setting up our team to get the best out of Suarez. Now he has an opportunity to try a set up that might get the best out of Carroll
Didn't he get banned for the same amount last season for the eat bite? They can't justify an 8 match ban at all without evidence. Surely it will be appealed? In a warped way it might give us extra urgency to buy a striker in January Totally bemused
The things I dont get are the things like the referee testifying that Evra said to him 'your only booking me because I'm black', the talk that De Gea calls Evra negrito, Suarez's limited English. Suarez should at least recieve a warning for threatening the referee like that.
Sounds like being making an example of, id be surprised if the evidence isnt brought to light otherwise legal action maybe in order.
How do you know? Not the point I'm making anyway, I'm saying that IF Terry is also found guilty then I'd expect a big punishment. Only thing thing that's harsh on Suarez/Liverpool is the reasoning he's given seems pretty understandable (negrito).
Interesting to see the evidence.what word was used. Was it based on purely the use of the word & that the FA deem the word racist & therefore abusive: Or that Suarez was being abusive and while doing so used a racist word. Big difference & repercussions depending on those factors.
