I thought McBurnie's hold up play was as brilliant as ever, but he was well closed down by Wrexham. Could he have done better with his passing? Perhaps but always hard to tell how much of that is him not placing his passes well and how much is Wrexham cutting them out effectively. I thought we lost a bit when he went off.

great performance - much the better team although we conspired to make it more difficult than it should have been - missed penalty and what appeared to be Ajayi ducking to avoid heading the ball for their goal - no idea what that was about - another excellent performance from Drameh on the right, as well as on the left late on with Wrexham's winger causing us a few problems, not helped by Millar diving in a couple of times and missing the ball completely - either get the ball or take out the man ffs - towards the end, we seemed to panic a bit and rather than hold the ball we just wanted to hoof it and of course it came straight back - nervy last 15 or so - Pandur still too slow getting the ball out sometimes although overall he had a good game overall - excellent performances from Hughes, Joffy and Koumas, but to be fair, everyone contributed and it was a good all round team performance - a huge 3 points

Think Ajayi got pushed. On the coverage it sounded like a whistle blew so I immediately thought it was being blown for a foul but then the goal was given..

no push - he was behind someone who fell forward and Ajayi seem to duck and fall towards him - watch the highlights - no idea what he was doing

Apparently he was ill overnight and they weren't sure if he was going to start or not
That may explain it. He certainly appeared off colour & ill at ease most of the time. His demeanor when coming off may well have suggested he was upset and embarassed about his own performance, prompted by his weakened condition. Did well if so under the circumstances.
A team player right enough.

In the first half midway or so we seemed to realise Wrexham weren’t that good and we started playing like we did against Millwall . Neat quick passing and we looked to much for them . They changed a bit after the break and Broadhead pulled the strings for them which made it harder for us . Don’t like our sitting deep but is game management I suppose .

I do think it is a weak league this year, helped by the fact Leicester are poor, Southampton started very poorly and Ipswich haven’t blown away the division as I expected.

Millwall, us and Wrexham probably don’t make the play offs in many Championship seasons, but we’ve all been very consistent at picking up points

The play offs are there to be won for any team this year, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s one of those rare years when the final is 5th v 6th. I expect Coventry to go up then one of Millwall, Boro and Ipswich to join them. The 3rd is anyone’s guess out of us, Wrexham, Southampton and the two that miss out on automatics.

Too close to call.
If the planets are lined up, I’m hoping Ipswich pip Boro for second spot. It”d be ideal to play Millwall in the semi and then Boro in the final. Boro have a terrible record in both the play offs and at Wembley. My sister in law and some friends are Boro pass holders and all separately fully expect them to lose whenever they reach them, and are actually always proved right.

qn on McBurnie, and only slightly tongue in cheek, but when was the last time he got a decision from a ref? Compared to the first half of the season where he won us a lot of free kicks refs in the past month or two seems to only give stuff against him, v frustrating

Boro are much better than Ipswich from what I’ve seen this season.

Sometimes it depends how many players we get round him.

Oli did a great job at both ends under those circumstances. He’s made his contribution and Sergei pulled him to save him for WBA. He may have been disappointed but he grafted and fair play to the fella.
