My Daughter lives in a maisonette above a Turkish barber and she recently had a flood in her home basically destroying it.The Turkish barbers downstairs was naturally affected and my Daughter went down to apologise the morning after and see if everyone was O.K? First comment from him "You need to fix this,my ceiling is unsafe and I'll need to shut the shop today,my busiest day and I'm going to lose a lot of money".My Daughter obviously empathised with him and explained that he'd need to contact his insurers and get them to claim hers....

Needless to say, she's heard nothing since, neither have her insurance company!!!
Cheaper haircut when you visit her? :bandit:(In the absence of a blue touch paper emoji)

The reason there's no logo and signage on the vape shop, is because it shut down over a year ago.
Not quite sure what was in there now then as these shops very seldom lie empty on Union St.I was down that Street two weeks ago in Fopp and the wife walked by there on Saturday afternoon.

Most of the media up here are reporting that it started in a vape shop and these explosions on footage would certainly be consistent with that?

Not sure about the immigrant bit but it's early in the fire and he's using a CO2 extinguisher.
The shop looks like a vape shop going by the window displays and the advertising board out front on the street suggests it was open.

Sadly,he could've inadvertently made things worse using the wrong type of extinguisher on the initial fire?

That whole building stretches back into Glasgow Central station,i.e.The rear of three buildings house shops within Glasgow Central.

I'm just relieved that the fire hasn't spread into the Station but the Station is closed till **** knows when and Glasgow Queen St doesn't serve the same destinations...This is going to affect commuters massively!!
