Incredible response from us after losing against Fulham at home. 4 points from two very tough away games. We still would have had a buffer to the teams now on 28 / 29 points but not a huge amount.
Yeh great response after Fulham m8 was hoping for a point from each but 4 was massive especially after last night, big game tonight spurs lose it opens a void for them if they win it drags Leeds over the trap door

It was often like this, before the epic failure seasons, looking like it's going to need 45 to stay up, which we'll get I'm sure anyway.

But there are too many dog eat dog games, and one team will fold I think. Spurs cannot afford to lose tonight, or it will probably be them.
Agree. I'm not going to be totally relaxed until we have another couple of wins.
One or two may fold.....it seems bizarre to say it,but Spurs are looking vulnerable. I think it's a bridge too far for Wolves and Burnley now....you never know.....and that was a good result for Forest, and just have a feeling the Horrible Hammers might put something together. They have Bowen and Somerville, who can get goals, which could be the difference. I'd be a tad more concerned than a month ago if I was Leeds.

To be honest 3 weeks ago I thought Leeds were safe but I think the pressure is getting to Farke and he’s pressed the panic button next 4-5 weeks gona be interesting

I still think they’re safe simply because of the fixtures they have, especially the home ones. A lot more points needed this season to be safe so we’ve done very well to get 40 points by this stage and steer clear.

I fancy West Ham to beat the drop tbh but they have the toughest fixtures. No European football though and that’ll be a hindrance to Forest. I’d imagine they’ll beat Midtjylland meaning they could have extra fixtures around the time they play us and Burnley.

On Spurs, I genuinely think they be better getting my rid of the manager now before it’s too late. If they get beat tonight they are in real trouble. Two gruelling legs in the CL against Atletico with a game against Liverpool sandwiched inbetween then a massive game against Forest after that.

Yeh I think West Ham will pull clear but as we know all games are hard in this league and when the going gets tough will Leeds get going gona be fun to see how it pans out COME ON

You can relax mate. Or chuck a tenner on us going down, and pick 4 grand up!

:emoticon-0102-bigsm I like your style. But,I can't undo the largely unfulfilled promise of 65 years following this club, until it hits me in the head!:1980_boogie_down:
Weirdly enough this was me, I said in January I wanted to see West Ham’s next four games which ended with us before I could relax. I know others were a lot more confident but it just didn’t feel all but safe with us playing a lot worse than the league position would’ve suggested and the quality some of teams below us have. Had we not taken 4 points from the last 2 games I would’ve been a lot more nervous but we still have Spurs to play at home :emoticon-0102-bigsm

You have to mate, otherwise you'll go through the same process every season.

There's only 9 games left so you've spent almost the entire season worrying and still are.

I stopped thinking about relegation early on when I saw how well we'd bought and how we were playing.

I'm enjoying the cup run and excited about the prospect of the quarter finals ...

... by your reckoning you can only truly enjoy a cup run on the final whistle at Wembley.

That makes it a pretty short season and a miniscule cup run.

I don't want this season to end as soon I'll have to start worrying about next year! :)

I just don't understand it tbh.

If we finish in a European place are we supposed to start worrying about how far we get ...

... and how that might affect our league campaign.

And if we win the FA Cup, or a trophy in Europe, do we start fretting about defending the trophy.

Nah, not for me all that ...

... I enjoyed Wycombe, Sheff Utd, reaching 40 points, the derby win and looking forward to more.

If you can only 'relax' when you've become safe from relegation every team has the first quarter of the season in peril.

Bull's bloody Eye.

Every time we win, home or away, present or not , League One or Premier League, I think that's it, we're coming, or similar . I genuinely can't work out another way to see it.

When we don't win, or get battered, , I think or hope that just one win will get us going .

I understand the inbuilt pessimism a bit, I'm a crinkly myself. But these are the times I've been waiting for. The owner I've been waiting for. The team I've been waiting for.

We really are okay now. We really are coming. F*ck em all..

Good for you mate, if we can't finally enjoy some optimism we really should pack up now.

Enjoy it while you can, we have not had many seasons like this one in the last 60+ years. I have watched and fretted over the last few games of the season too many times! Look forward to gaining more points, possibly Europe and a Cup Final. If that does not happen then it still has been a great season and we have lost nothing.

Honestly, me worrying about next season is that I maybe too realistic!

I've not worried much at all this season as it was pretty clear to me early on that we were way better that I thought we ever could be, and wouldn't be getting relegated, so I've just enjoyed it. Maybe the most I've ever enjoyed a season, including the Quinn/Phillips ones. I don't buy into the 'oh we might mess it up like Sunderland always does' thinking as I don't think anyone at the club does. The reason we have 'always messed up' in the past is that we've not been quite good enough over the years. Now we have a chance on that being different. (Wolves collapsing early and there being at least three teams (ten?) worse than use certainly helped too :) )

The 'worry' is that next year is so huge. If our recruitment can be as good as last year then we could be set with enough players for a few years at the top level. But this includes how on earth we replace Xhaka. I think it's his last year next year and we are so much better with him.

So if I trust that we can find the right 3-4 players to come in and replace the one or two sales we will make then I can relax and enjoy again. I just remember what happened when SNQ retired and the all the eggs went in the failed Duncan Ferguson basket. It seemed like that was the only plan, and when it turned into Tores Andre Flo we were doomed. That looked like the extent of the plan back then. We are way smarter than that now, but I would love it if we could keep getting right. That Canadian striker I saw linked (David?) would be amazing, the sort of player we could maybe go after that would really help us build.
