All upside. Gets a 2-3 year deal if he wants it if they have a decent 12 games. Walks away with a couple of million if not and his wife has a lovely old time at Harrods. It doesn't really matter to him whether Spurs stay up or not. He gets paid and then he's out of there regardless.
Personally I don't think he even begins to turn this around for a few weeks, if at all.
He tried to get them to play a whole different formation and set up yesterday and you could see that the players didn't cope. Surely it's better to come in first game and set them up with what they are used to, and work from there.
This group of players are low on confidence and morale, and he's trying to teach them a new system when they just need to be steadying the ship and playing it safe.
He could just end up pouring fuel on the flames
Hopefully![]()
Don’t think the plan was a bad one with so little time to decide what to do. The players just failed to execute it. Nothing you can do if Arsenal’s best players do something brilliant but the basics weren’t there at all. The space Gyokeres gets for his first goal is laughable. You don’t need a manager to tell you that’s crap.
