Will watch Everton v Man Utd but don't care who wins, hopefully they put on a decent game.

Just read Revie got a 4-year £340k contract. Got hammered for it. Get that paper.

Was a bit of a hero for my old man was Don - centre-forward who scored the winner in our 1949 FA Cup semi final but had to miss the final due to a life threatening nasal issue - we lost to Wolves - old man would have been 19.

Was always warmly applauded every time he brought his 'dirty Leeds' to ours during the 70s ... (the old man and me had season tickets from 1969 to 1979 (when he rather selfishly succumbed to asecond heart attack) ...

I remember Captain Tom being interviewed, aged about 134, talking about how much he misses his parents. Never really think about it with old people. Has stuck with me since.

Anyway, no strong opinion on Revie mostly because I wasn’t on the planet yet. Probably remembered as a worse bloke than he was. Clough remembered as a better bloke than he was.

A quick scroll this morning tells me Piskie's internet is well and truly fixed, high speed as well looking at the number of posts, did he say anything interesting? :bandit:

Mate, it was a real shocker that my internet went down the moment Wolves equalised last week

I'm just pleased they managed to get it up and running again in time for the Spurs game.

Yes we are and we don't have the balls for a dogfight so it's going to be interesting to say the least.

We them rich kids who have never had a scrap
Exactly that bro. The posh kids who've never had to mix it up before, suddenly in a playground scrap with the pikey kids from the estate.

Even putting the rivalry and wumming aside for a bit, I've never seen Spurs in this much trouble before

You've had some terrible seasons over the last few years, even last year you finished 17th, but were well out of the drop zone

This time you lot are properly in the mixer and you've got to play teams fighting for their lives as well as some tricky away fixtures at Anfield, Villa Park, Leeds and Sunderland.

I think Tudor got a baptism of fire yesterday and this morning is realising just what a task he's got to try and keep you up.

Woking Feb-May every year might be the best life. Be a hero or disappear with a few quid. He’s got a crazy list of clubs for a bloke who has achieved basically nothing.

It doesn't really matter to him whether Spurs stay up or not. He gets paid and then he's out of there regardless.

Personally I don't think he even begins to turn this around for a few weeks, if at all.

He tried to get them to play a whole different formation and set up yesterday and you could see that the players didn't cope. Surely it's better to come in first game and set them up with what they are used to, and work from there.

This group of players are low on confidence and morale, and he's trying to teach them a new system when they just need to be steadying the ship and playing it safe.

He could just end up pouring fuel on the flames

Hopefully :)

Looks like he set them to to get pumped…no different to Frank in that regard

I think they are close to the stage now where they just throw their hands up in the air and hope for the best

They look clueless and rudderless. It's not even like they have any players who can take a hold of the team and shake them into some kind of shape

That said, one win can change the whole mood and momentum, but you just don't know where it might come from for them at the moment.

They could go to Fulham and get spanked and then it's a full on emergency situation for them
