What does the word desgraciado mean?

Yes, everybody basing their opinion of what an aggregator (but we're not sure which one, as somebody cropped their name off when posting it in the match thread...) tells them is wrong

Wrong but thanks for clearing that up.

Entertaining as always to get an insight into your ego

I think it's safe to say Scarlett's time here is done.

Since Jose described him as a future star, four managers have for whatever reason overlooked him and he hasn't exactly shone anywhere out on loan.

Will be 22 in March and at that age it is usually pretty clear whether or not a player will make it.
Scarlett's biggest issue is he's in that weird spot where he was more than good enough for League One three years ago, but wasn't good enough for the Championship last season, something his appearance stats bear out
Portsmouth (2022-3, League One): started 24 of his 30 appearances
Ipswich (2023-4, Championship) started 0 of his 12 appearances
Oxford (2024-5, Championship): started 3 out of the 16 appearances

That being said, the issue is the bit between Portsmouth and Oxford: Ipswich were on track for an unexpected promotion and that's usually a death knell for any developmental loanee getting regular minutes in the Championship, as also happened this season with Jamie Donley after Stoke had an unexpected strong start, and that basically stopped his development dead at the absolute worst possible time

Compare that to how Will Lankshear is getting a generous amount of minutes at Oxford this season, or how Troy Parrott was getting regular starts at Preston the same season Scarlett was at Portsmouth, because neither team had a good view of the PL's pot of gold and were chasing it

He basically said what we all knew he would say , the top talent isn’t out there to buy in January and I tend to agree.

Upping our wage structure is obvious but there’s no way we could have offered the wages City enticed Semenyo with . Hes probably the only Elite ( or very very good player available ) and we tried for him.

Yildiz was unattainable this window and I’m glad for once we didn’t sign mediocre stop gap players which we have done for so long. ( Lookman etc )

We tried for Robertson who would have been a very good signing but that fell through.

What is imperative before the summer though is we bring in a higher calibre DOF to replace Lange, he’s great at scouting youth talent so I’d find a position for him heading up our youth scouting network.

Lange also mentioned the injury crisis and that we have some players returning soon and that we have to sign players better than what we have .

If you look at our squad below if everyone is fit it’s pretty strong .

Summer improvements need to be at GK, LB, CM, LW and CF . We will see ….

Lange:

“We will go into the summer with big ambitions, the plans are already drawn up and we have a clear picture of what positions and which profiles we need”.

Wicked! Great idea to do that now rather than this season when we:
1) Had CL football(or any European football)
2) Knew who the manger would be
3) Thought finishing bottom half might be considered a one off

Cheers Lange you **** <ok>

We're 14th. Elite players are absolutely out of the question. Our best shot is offering the likes of Toney and Duran a fistful of cash to come back to a decent league and hoping they kick on.

According to Sami Mokbel, we were offering Semenyo more than the Mansourites were

They signed a striker late in the window, unfortunately.
Not exactly prolific, but he's in direct competition with Lankshear and Donley.
Given that the own him, he'll probably take preference in most cases.

Lankshear started last night, which is a good sign

Likely means that Donley's back to AM duties...when he can walk again, anyway
