How are Labour doing after their first 12 months

Lib Dems are the ones who have been hammering this insane situation with the Yanks for a few years now so they get a big chance to do a victory lap.

See Ed Davey is the first to call for the obvious, disgraced people caught up should be dealt with fast and ruthlessly.

I won't take Farage seriously until I see him criticize Trump and his other republican buddies. I know for a fact he won't.

Haha, Marius Høiby isn't a prince, he's the future Queens son from a fling she had before meeting the Prince.

The Prince of Norways wife is a commoner, scum like me and you, and as common muck she got herself knocked up with a boyfriend and ended up having this kid

She bumped into the Prince at a fancy do she someone got into and Marius, a nobody, suddenly found himself living with the Royal Family

Its a mad story.

He's grown up to be a fine upstanding bit of common scum, into drugs and rape

If he goes down she'll be the only one in her family who hasn't spent time behind bars.

Corbyn aint held back on his thoughts about Mandelson today, he's stood up and spoke three times, his latest one is a marathon speech, even Tony Benn getting menshies. <laugh>

Anyway, listening to the Labour back benchers, Keir has a massive problem on his hands.

He took his eye off the ball with that one ... makes you wonder if they ever did any due diligence other than 'Now Peter... you're absolutely sure there isn't anything you haven't told us about your relationship with Jeffrey Epstein?"...

I haven't looked up the details, but there is something from Gordon Brown asking them to check the emails, I don't know when this was, recent or years ago, but he said the request was ignored. I know GB went to the cops yesterday with information.

I've just got this gut feeling that certain people knew Mandelson had been tipping Epstein off, I'm not suggesting Keir Starmer knew, but I fear the people advising him may have done.

A compromise to appease back benchers I think, government to refer files to ISC. So they decide what is a security risk and cannot be released...

AI Overview

The Intelligence and Security Committee of Parliament (ISC) is the UK’s statutory body responsible for overseeing the policy, expenditure, and operations of the intelligence community, including MI5, SIS (MI6), and GCHQ. It ensures accountability for sensitive national security activities, reporting directly to the Prime Minister and Parliament.

Mind you, Starmer ain't the only Head of State with a problem - there are articles today citing an FBI memo in the latest batch of Epstein docs that 'suggest' Donald Trump had lunch with Epstein at one of Epstein's properties in 2015...

Trump has always maintained he ditched friendship / contact with Epstein in the early 2000s i.e. at a time before his plea bargain with Anthony Acosta, US State Attorney for Florida, halted an FBI investigation into much more serious offences (allegedly halted indictments on 53 counts)...

If this newly disclosed FBI memo proves to be genuine, it means Trump was with Epstein on the eve of his first running for President...

The brown stuff is flying off the fan in all directions...

Duck!!!!

Thing is I don't know how you deal with Trump... we could refuse to trade with them, we could refuse defence with them, but that puts the UK at risk.

Really it's down the politics of the country to deal with it, the American people, like we are dealing with ours - and that's the Democrats. Epstein is dead so that's him sorted.

And from where I'm sitting at the moment, our politics is in a better place than theirs, certainly when it comes to getting people removed. Keir Starmer could still lose his job over this, but he may have appeased them (Labour back benchers) with his compromise, so it gives him more life.

Although change of PM don't really help anyone, the positive I'm seeing is that the back benchers are clearly in control, so for me that moderates the centre.

As for Trump, he's like Putin a dictator and until someone takes him out he's here to stay.

I think Starmer will survive, the people behind him on the benches have to appear enraged when public facing, and probably are a tad pissed off how Mandelson has taken them for a ride. I think Keir best keep his head down for a while. Tories are going to do what opposition do, I think the worst that might happen is KS will have to give his advisor the boot.

But I'm normally wrong on these things so if you are a betting man and the odds are good...
