How are Labour doing after their first 12 months

Government cabinet office has referred Mandelson to the police and opened a line of communication with them, including handing over emails that should never have left government systems under Mandelson.

Starmer is ordering legislation to be drawn up to strip Mandelson of his peerage.
A cell and punishment in line with Nathan Gill would be a start.

Yeh Charlie knew this was coming and distanced the family from him so he can say well he’s not our problem anymore

Still don’t ever see Andy doing any time tho
Can see him having a Diana style accident first.

For me he can draw up all the legislation he wants, he knew of his friendship with Jeffery and gave him the job anyway.

I don’t think I’ve ever disliked a politician more than that worm starmer tbh

You should have grown up in the early 80’s and witnessed Thatcher destroy industries and target the working classes. Or the sky high interest rates of the early 90’s….

And that’s forgetting about perverts in plain sight abusing kids and others selling off rail/oil and gas etc to line their pockets

Mandelson will be going to jail...

Obviously I can't prove everything in the link below nor support its claims but Number 10 have confirmed they have found the emails that Mandelson forwarded, which he would not have been permitted to do as they were government sensitive. I think those may be the documents that have been handed to police. Mandelson to formally retire tomorrow and the House of Lords have accepted his resignation.

Just thinking about Mandleson, he has committed crimes and is looking to be stripped of his peerage/spend time locked away. Rightly so I may add.

Yet it seems to have slipped from media attention that Michelle Mone still holds her title/place in the HoL and hasn’t repaid any of the money she obtained fraudulently…..

He is a lord (for now and he is gay) so we can call him a gaylord, very childish of me.

He will serve time in a cushy unit.

This sounds like whataboutery to me.

From my understanding you can't strip someone of their peerage, it would have required legislation to strip Mandelson of his, he's made the governments job easier by retiring, although it still may require some legislation, because it's not that easy just to give up.

So I think this still may be brought to the House that the law requires changing, from what I've heard Labour may oppose that (complete legislation change), as the Tories have also previously opposed it.

The current government under Keir Starmer now has chance to try and bring about those changes again, be interesting to see if he takes that opportunity, I will not be holding my breath on it though, because they are all thick as thieves.

I called for Mone at the time to be removed and I also said she should be in jail. Her current status is voluntary leave of absence and has stated no wish to return - she cannot attend sittings to vote.

Her situation is the same as Mandelson and Ed Davey has said the current system is antiquated, discussed live on air today (The media) he wants Mandelson AND Mone held to account....

Over to Keir it is then if he can find his balls.

The one thing I will say is it really does need complete legislation change and even if we can't get people in the Lords removed now, we at least change the law to get them removed in the future.

It's clear from this latest saga and the Mone saga that our politicians are taking the piss and look after one another, the whole establishment is corrupt as ****. This is our opportunity once again to get these corrupt ****ers out of our system.

Hopefully Ed Davey will push for it in the House tomorrow.

Didn’t know that titles couldn’t be stripped..

There is no whataboutery, from the moment it was clear she had committed fraud I have wanted her to pay back/face charges. Whatever their political leaning, they can’t be allowed to get away without being punished.

It certainly was whataboutery with you, you tried the same on Sucky in an earlier comment over Thatcher, all because he dared to mention Keir's name, albeit again & again. Poor guy is only 26 he really can't be accountable for the Thatcher years.

More chance of seeing Trump in chains and that mad ****er wants to invade Greenland to deflect from all this.
So what is your suggestion in the UK's response to Trump and that, what would you like Keir Starmer to do that he hasn't already done?

I just said he was lucky not to live through the thatcher years.

Not knocking his view of Starmer.

I dunno about titles, but poor old Lestewr Piggott got stripped of his knighthood.

Now I've admitted more than once that I'm an avowed cynic ... not quite a conspiracy theorist mind ... but....

6 million Epstein docs still undisclosed at the end of 2025, despite US government assurances that ALL will be revealed ...

3.5 million released in January with 2.5m held back because they would either give clues to the identity of victims or were part of ongoing investigations ...

A very large number of documents (1000s see link) that were released have been removed today because 100s of victims were either named or otherwise identifiable (pics) ... due to technical or individual human error(s) by the disclosure team ...

"Oops guv, we're awfully sorry about that ... but now you'll understand why we obviously can't release the remaining 2.5million docs ... just wouldn't be right - oh and there really wasn't much in them anyway... honest"
