How many times have Chelsea or Man City picked up a good player from a lower PL team, barely given them a game then 2 years later sold them to a club lower than the one they bought them from?

I half expected Semenyo to be the same but he's gone straight in.
They’ve both done it loads. Man City did it to Rodwell and Bony as well. Drinkwater to Chelsea is another good example. Sometimes I wonder if they sign these players just so other teams can’t.

The players have to take equal responsibility for it though. Phillips knew he would never be more than a backup to Rodri and he couldn’t even be that.

I hope Anderson doesn’t go to Man City for England’s sake.

If those three leave we'll still need to leave out two others. One you'd think will be Harvey Cartwright who is injured and surplus anyway. The other would be a harder decision. I think writing off Belloumi would be mad. Ndala would be the one least likely to get games assuming he remains our 7th loan player.

So now Ndala is on his way, would leaving out Cartwright mean we are ok for the 25 man squad and can keep Matazo and Belloumi in?

Tbh given our circumstances yet again happy with our business, get Akintola a move and it's all good to go. Think what we have brought in compliments what we have and more significantly we haven't lost any important players from our squad.

I doubt anyone will care about Ndala being recalled and it improves our issue with the number of loans.

Agree. But I think, given our record with injuries, we should be keeping one of Ndala or Dave though.

Ndala has been a disappointment imo. Then again, we shouldn't have expected much at 19 and with it being his 1st proper loan. But, with him coming from Man City I maybe hoped for more. I guess the signs were there though in that both PSV and Forest didn't take up their options to buy. He mostly only got bit parts here, but for me he hardly grasped his chances, which if he had of done, then he'd have got way more game time as the opportunities to shine were there. Earlier comparisons to Doku were fanciful. I didn't see anything special from him (in terms of pace or skill). Imo, we might as well have shown faith in Brown (or Myers or even kept Vaughan as cover); they'd likely have been just as much use, if not more. Maybe he will still come good, but I fully expect Man City will continue to try to move him on as soon as they can. I think he'll struggle to get even a good permanent Championship move.

I do, he’s a good young player who has been treated unfairly here. Him having to leave is no fault of his own and another example of yet more dreadful management and recruitment. Exactly the type of gung ho sign everyone approach that almost bankrupted us last summer and is almost certainly going to next if we don’t manage to see this through and get promotion.

Scary times ahead.

No.7's traditionally been right wing, but there's been a fair few attacking midfielders who also been 7's, Best, Cantona, Raul, Keegan, Dalglish etc.
Best? George Best?
He was a winger, who just happened to be capable of occasionally playing as a striker or an attacking midfielder, but best known across the world as a winger.

George Best wasn’t a strickers asshole
Taken direct from Twitter and fact checked on GBNews, so there.
"George Best primarily played as a winger (left or right), famous for his dazzling skill, pace, and goalscoring ability, but he could also operate as a centre-forward, second striker, or attacking midfielder, making him a versatile forward who was almost unstoppable at his peak for Manchester United and Northern Ireland"
p.s. my point was that he was known across the world as a WINGER, not an 'attacking midfielder' as was being suggested by Lambo

Yes, providing all the mooted exits happen we'll only have to leave out one player and Cartwright would be the obvious one.
