Yeah why would we want to insult John d**k Westwood it's not like he pissed all over our seats when he came down here! waste of air!!
If you read the whole thread an not just cherry pick quotes you will see that I refered to John Westwood as a drunken fool and said that I do not object to any criticism of his sometimes outrageous and unacceptable behavour. When the post you quoted was written Westwood's behavour had yet to be mentioned, instead the hate-fest was all about his appearance, about his decision to express his support for his club with tattoo's, by changing his name, by dressing up and making noise with bells, drums and a bugle on match day. The attack on Westwood was an attack on the way he supported his team and was not any valid criticism of the times he had been out of order with his behavour.
He's a big man but he's out of shape. With me, it's a full time job.

Westwood is a p*mpey institution. A blue looney with a bell, used by every lazy journo looking for a a story about the fish-fiddlers "passionate support". You can't hate him though.
How he decides to support his team is up to him. but clearly his appearance will divide people!
However, the real story, and one missed by everyone is that he is a living example of a Pompey fan who actually owns a book!! For this reason alone he should be lauded as a true Portsmouth intellectual.

The reason I cant stand him is the bell. I hate it when people take instruments to football matches I think it just kills the atmosphere. I would hate to look like him but no one is forcing me to so he can do what he wants. There's no evidence that he's actually read a book though. After all, Wayne Rooney's even written one, but no one seriously believes he can read.
