Are you watching the Flechas tonight Adam? I've never seen a guy hold his arrows, like this Finnish bloke Korte does.

He's entitled to dress exactly the way he wants to. It wouldn't be my choice of dress, but that upto me. each to their own, I suppose.

I just wish he wouldn't keep ringing that bloody bell. And he blows a bloody trumpet too, I hear. Jeez..!

Bugle, which is worse, because he thinks it's a trumpet and doesn't understand natural harmonics, which, in his hands, sound very unnatural, to those of an artistic bent.

I saw your good attempt at a thread, which sadly got hijacked by the GC trolls. Why not give it another go? But just on the darts forum. Or maybe as a joint Southampton/Pompey cross board thread. I reckon a few of the regulars would dig it.

Maybe more people would see it on here, than the darts forum. And maybe less things would see it, if it wasn't on GC!

There is no doubt JW is an amazingly loyal pompy fan who absolutely loves his team. What i don't condone is him supposedly urinating on seats and also having 3-4 'anti scum' tatoos all over him! This is beyond being passionate and it is wrong. It is the such hatred that I dislike. You could see it all over the pompy fans faces on the tv. Sure we have a minority that would go as far as saying the hate pompy but I have the general feeling that pompy fans have more hatred to saints then vice versa.

Sure we all want our teams to beat each other and harmless banter is fine but it should be left at this. Why the hatred??

I was going to say "fewer things". Then I realised that maybe you are right, and it is better to measure GC trolls by weight.:)

The Bloke only does if for the attention and fame and judging by 6 pages and 100+ posts on this thread so far boy does it seem to be working. I am not a fan of his but fair play to the bloke if he can get so many people that worked up. lol

I also agree that the hatred is more real for Pompey fans than for Saints fans and seems to have started when Saints became the more successful team, so guess it's going to get worse:grin:

I don't care about the disgrace of a man but I am seriously looking forward to watching saints dissecting The skates bit by bit! When we get you down SMS the class will be way more apparent! Your supporters were disgusting the other day, go to any ground and you get your fair share of morons but 7 out of 10 of the crowd I saw at least looked like they wanted to kill and the language was a disgrace, probably was highlighted by the fact your pitch is so close to the stands In that run down shed! Never wished bad thoughts on Poopey until now but it's the fans who make a club and what I saw of them lot the other day intimidating our players I hope Poopey lot get knocked so hard by a nice big fat point deduction just as we had to suffer and if you don't then it's a massive injustice! It would make my Xmas!

Sorry but you cannot take the moral high ground here. There are as many Southampton fans who display such volatile hatred of Portsmouth as there are Portsmouth fans who display volatile hatred of Southampton. It goes both ways. Neither is better than the other.

I'm in the minority nowadays because I couldn't care less about the rivalry between the two clubs and actually quite like Southampton and I find the amount of petty hateful sniping that goes one between both sets of supporters unseemly.

Its seems, however, that the reason the hatred has grown recently is that both sets of supporters have had elements that have revelled in the financial problems suffered by the others club. That never goes down well.

Hang on a moment I don't think he was trying to take the moral high ground with that statement.
As long as both clubs have ass wipes that display such volatile hatred for each other there is no high ground to be had. Having said that despite many, many Pompey friends. All have agreed that there seems to be a higher degree of extremism from that end of the M27. Certainly if the reports I have heard of people moving on trains and buses and even exchanging seats on a plane a few years ago that I witnessed myself. Of so called Pompey football fans not wishing to sit next to a saints fan usually because the person was in a Saints shirt or colours. I even came across an incident in Florida Disney world where some lads refused to get onto a ride because they would not share a carriage with someone wearing a Saints shirt!! That to me is a fanaticism we can do with out. I have never heard from any of my Pompey friends of one incident in reverse. So for me you will never convince me otherwise as to the balance of dislike as I have witnessed it with my own eyes. Again I will say there is no excuse for it and no one can claim the high moral ground on this. Also to make things perfectly clear (at least in my eyes) neither am I saying one set of fans is worse than the other as far as I'm concerned all that think like that should have their heads banged together. Ok I'm off me soap box..........

Exactly Beddy. I wasn't taking a moral high ground. Like I originally said there are a minority of saints fans who 'hate' pompey too. But like you say I've never seen a saints fan publicly show their hatred by moving seats for example. I honestly believe that pompey need saints more then we need them. Most pompey fans would put their 4-1 victory over saints as their best ever day as a fan. This even goes above their FA cup winners. What did you expect? they were 2 leagues above us at the time! As a saints fan I wouldn't even consider a pompey victory up there as one of our greatest results. Nothing can compare to our 1976 cup final or that magical day beating Man U at the dell for example

I am always prepared to give the benefit of the doubt, I have little doubt of lot of normally decent people got caught up with the mob rule atmosphere and were getting a bit carried away, get them on their own and they wouldn't give a peep!
