Great news. With the Eye Hospital and the new arts centre opening soon together with the new housing becoming available on the old civic centre site there should be a lot more footfall in the city centre which can only be good news for the city. You must log in or register to see images

There was some stuff a few weeks ago before Christmas saying things were positive on that front and possible announcements in the springtime. Not heard anything myself, but from what I gather it's a phased project anyway, so it could be one part starts earlier than others while the funding is brought in from different areas.Gone a bit quiet on the Crown Studios but there is definitely activity on the site, plenty of diggers in a secure compound all lit up yesterday.

Plenty of other housing in centre getting built as well, flats next to hospital, Sunniside and also on cliffs next to new carpark behind B & Q.Great news. Great to see. The key to successful city regeneration schemes is getting more people living on the centre. WDSC.Plenty of other housing in centre getting built as well, flats next to hospital, Sunniside and also on cliffs next to new carpark behind B & Q.

The club and council working together to come up with a sensible solution so the club can hopefully expand the SOL in the near future and the council’s regeneration plans continue at a pace.Great news they are putting a commercial area between ground and sheep folds.
This will allow for further expansion of ground in the near future.
