I didn't object to anyone discussing it. I was adding my thoughts to the discussion by saying I don't really give a toss about it being called off. Currently im struggling to get angry or annoyed about a groundsman that can't do his job. That's all I was saying.Whilst you have a point Jim this is also complete ****e, football forum about football, on the same metric it’s a shame about the Middle East and Ukraine.

And no MOTM thread... Shocking!Thought Coyle was **** today and Jacob awesome , Pandur rushing out to catch crosses was risky too .
At least they didn't run out of pudding and custard. Plenty of positives.Thought Coyle was **** today and Jacob awesome , Pandur rushing out to catch crosses was risky too .
Why doesn't undersoil heating extend to these very small fringes and technical areas? Does the same thing happen at other new stadiums? It’s been almost 2deg all day so was never going to soften , in fact as the sun goes it re freezes . Pitch looked fine but fringes off the pitch looked solid .
This is true. Saw a bloke with his son. Looked like he'd just paid for 2 x chicken and chips and a couple of hot drinks and was heading for his seat! Some of my mates sit in the South and said that as they were leaving, people (who obviously never knew or heard) were still buying food and drink as others were trudging out of the Stadium.
Do they fully know what happened at Withernsea ?Agree it's poor, not sure why the ref couldn't delay the kick off by 30 mins to give them time to sort it, but given what happened at Withernsea the other night I guess we should just be thankful for what we have and take this one on the chin as a crap day.
Events like that really put things into perspective for me, haven't stopped thinking about how frightened that poor girl must have been and how her mum must have felt. Gut wrenching.
Today's farce just pales into insignificance for me to be honest.
Sounds like she was filming the rough sea from the steps and a massive wave came from nowhere. She couldn't grab the life ring and then a 67 brave local mam and her mum both went in to get her and both died too.Do they fully know what happened at Withernsea ?
Some reports say the girl was swept away by a large wave and others went to help .
I didn't realise the waves where that big as it seemed not that windy .

I'll never forget an incident that unfolded in front of my wife and I in Blackpool in the early 80's when a dog went into the rough waters.Owner jumped in after it,police followed and from memory 3 police died...Sounds like she was filming the rough sea from the steps and a massive wave came from nowhere. Snowy Swindon away in about 2005......About 200 City fans were seated, in the stand under the protection of the roof. One lad, on one of the two TT coaches, can't recall his name, refused to pay the extra so ended up sitting on his jack jones in the open end section with a blizzard blowing into his boat for the vast majority of the game....Hardest bastard thing I've ever seen. That sounds like a sleepy afternoon around the hotel pool in Tenerife compared to Birmingham away, St Andrews, not that long ago, The City fans congregated behind one of the goals met a snow hurricane head on, blowing full into their faces. It was so fierce and falling so heavily at one stage that it was impossible to see the the pitch. I'm sure the referee took the players off the pitch for a while until the snow storm passed. I remember the snow, the biting wind and the cold but cannot remember the score. Not as bad as Witton Albion though because most of us headed for the bar under the stand at Brum, nothing of the sort was available to us at Witton.

That'll be the day plod stood outside of their social club watching for City fans coming out of their social club, then refusing them entry to the ground claiming the City fans were intoxicated, policing at its finest, ****s.Snowy Swindon away in about 2005......About 200 City fans were seated, in the stand under the protection of the roof.
