In Sainsbury's car park - feckin bedlam!

Found a place and sent the army in for the goodies - I'm staying in the car with the doggies. Will report back later regarding casualties.
Did a big shop last week. Everything sorted apart from picking up turkey and trimmings on christmas eve (all ordered, just needs collecting). The butchers is at a farm shop, so pick up some fresh veg as well. Job done.

Still waiting 3 1/2 hours later.......

I've been busy dressing the troop's wounds. Turkey is dead though, so no point in treating it.

Still a few last minute sorties for fresh bread and an easy pizza snack after the event to offset sprout attack, but I'm reasonably sure that D Day will be a successful operation. <ok>

Sprouts, food of the devil, along with any other green leafed vegetable that has to be cooked.

Eggs as well.

I've followed your daughter's facebook page since they moved to their new place and I thought this was the most attractive ewe ;)
I remember you saying you were following L&D which is why I went and had a look at their page for the piccy.

The dots on their backs indicate how many lambs theyre carrying. If shes stuck to what shes done in the past, red is a single, blue is a twin. Where on the back the dot is signifies if theyre early in the tupping period (shoulder), middle (back) or late (rump). Its only a rough idea as the scanner is judging it on the size of the foetus. The Tups are usually in for 4 weeks. Sheep have a two week cycle so theyre left in for two cycles.

So the one in the piccy has a single, mid-tupping.
I think theyre due to start early march. Its a 5 month gestation and the tup went in around the beginning of Oct.

I thought the one by the shed had better conformation.......and clean knees!!
I dont know much about conformation. Always wonder what judges look for.

Mrs Remote is more interested in judging stuff. She marks the catelogue when she goes to the royal welsh. Usually horses, but often sheep. And what they look for varies from breed to breed aparently.

The sheep in the piccies are texel crosses. 5 or six generaltions ago, daughter started with Welsh mules and a texel tup. Shes always used texel tups and she puts her own ewe lambs back into the flock so they have become more and more texel over time.

I think my family may have spotted my weakness for all things Bluebirds this Christmas!

As well as the "Lego" CCS (yet to be started) I am now well and truly kitted out ready for the summer Pick & Shovel BBQ and hopefully promotion party!! :emoticon-0142-happy

We look forward to our invitations. Need to arrange coach hire, possibly 2 or 3.

Are you talking about BT? He has sheep foot holes in the front of his wellies. His motto, any holes a goal.
