This is the one I was on about yesterday. Beautiful.

Enzo's was superb too, especially with the "He's taken Lewis Hall to the cleaners there" commentary

Yet we have no quality players according to the mags.

I've also been told we will see a completely different performance against us at their ground, they seem to still have no idea how we have been playing this season. If anything that will suit us more!

They don’t know what a manager that adapts to the occasion and opposition looks like mate.

Hopefully they still don’t come the reverse fixture.

I'll stick this in here, in the absence of anywhere else. Seems PIF are a bit skint. New stadium for the Visitors looking unlikely;

oops
Mags making fools of themselves? That is funny though, absolutely no chance at all they spend a fortune on a stadium for their purely sportswashing pet project in England, when they can't even afford to build them in their own country.

I imagine the fabled "investment in the local area" they keep banging on about will never see the light of day, either...

I read something online a few weeks back from an architect/engineer site saying something similar. Basically saying that some of these mega projects, like NEOM were unachievable, some ideas were unrealistic and unaffordable, but that a lot of architectural and engineering companies had made a lot of money out of it knowing stuff would be scaled back or dumped.

Between the lines Bin Salman came up with the ideas and nobody said no or questioned them (and with his reputation you can understand why). One idea was for a massive inland Cruise ship harbour inside that linear city they wanted to build with a skyscraper suspended from the roof like a chandelier. Then reality hit but they still carried on with the grandiose stuff for a bit to keep face until reality really bit and they're now looking to scale back stuff because the oil revenue isn't as big as it was.

Well they won't be skint, as they are a dedicated Sovereign Wealth Fund.

But their purpose and priority is to enhance investments and make money. Being the vehicle for purchasing that lot was just a ruse.

Clearly spaffing around a billion already for no serious progress will not have made people happy, particularly the Torturer in Cheif Bin Salman.

The key is whether or not Bin Salman starts calling in some of PIF's asset value to prop up some his more lunatic building schemes, which have costs of trillions attached.

For reference, Saudi GDP is roughly one third of the UK'S. They are not made of money, whatever we may all think sometimes.

It's certainly in the billions to do anything with the hotch potch, Leazes Park looks untenable and many more billions and many more years. Out of town is the only option, but they don't want that it seems.

You could see why the interest might fade a bit.

There was some talk a few weeks back about them looking for outside finance to contribute to building it. I remember it being on here and saying that it doesn't look good for the mags if true.
