... Nordi Mukiele (Sunderland): He was excellent in the win over Newcastle. He got a yellow card but shut down Anthony Gordon, one of the best wingers in the Premier League who will probably start for England at the World Cup, and Mukiele didn't allow him to get anything going. He handled the mental appoach to it fantastically. He got the crowd involved and was part of a monumental victory for Sunderland...

Some of the replies on that pathetic! Proper rattled loads of other fans this season!
If you look at where most of these "fans" are from (not the club they claim to support), other than mags most are African. It's something I said a few weeks ago about some of the worst "fans" of clubs being Africans living in Africa but supporting EPL teams like Arsenal and Chelsea.

must have watched it a fair few times since and i am convinced he was ready to celebrate a goal (watch his arms before realisation hits) and that is the problem with having a striker defend, his instincts are to head for goal and i think in that split second he literally forgot which end he was at.
I said self same thing on Sunday night and took a lot of stick but I really think the lad has had a brain fart and forgot he’s kicking the other way

Agree mate.

Everyone should roll over for them. One reckons we play rugby?

That implies the lads play dirty and its bollocks.

In a nutshell he was saying it was 'tinpot and lacking respect' when Newcastle did it.

They did it against a shambles of a newly promoted L1 side and Mick Beale, as if they'd won the FA Cup ...

... we did it against a CL side, League Cup holders and the richest club in the world.

Yet they'll find a way to excuse their behaviour and criticise ours.
Had a conversation today with a mag/Saudi about it. They are not happy.

I reminded him at the the time I think their team cost over £400m and ours less than £10m. Their photo was crass and in very poor taste. They are horrrible winners and even worse losers.

What goes around comes around and didn’t our photo look good. :-)

And our team yesterday was still put together at a fraction of the cost of theirs.

WOLTEMACKEM GOAL, EVERY ANGLE:

Two things really stand out with that goal.

First, Gordon's contribution was dreadful, much worse than Woltemade's. His clearing header was absolutely piss poor, his press on Xhaka was poor and he failed to even challenge Mukiele. When the the header went in he ignored his team mates, expecially Woltemade.

Second, RLB gives the Newcastle bench an evil stare, turned away, then gave them another for good measure <laugh> <laugh>

Howe arguing with his captan's post-match comments, not a good look especially when Tonali and already made noises about his future and Isak fought tooth and nail to get away ...

"He was 90% right initially. I don't think we were a mess, I don't think the other parts of his original comments were wrong. But we weren't a mess. We were very well organised, we just didn't deliver the performance that we wanted to."

Looks like he's losing it ...

All the "experts" commenting on the style of football we play, have never watched us or know nothing about football.
They'd need a bit of time to describe our "style of play" mind!

All of us watch all the games and you often don't know what's coming. We don't have a "style" really, Regis and his team set us up for who we play.

That's why so many teams, for so long now, "just couldn't get going today" or " weren't at our best". It goes back to the start of last season when Cardiff and Burnley were saying the same as they were wondering where the points had gone
