That's more or less true. They have been bullying teams , using Linton especially, and get very favourable treatment from refs.

The team is fit and athletic, but with very little guile at all.

On Sunday, they ran up against a team that you can't bully, and they were lost.

Howe for England? I really hope they are joking.

They got plenty of favourable treatment from the ref on Sunday imo

Back in work today, their fans have been pretty quiet but I've been chatting to them.

Two lads said we can't be happy with the way we played either, which I explained was tactical as we had the balance spot on.

One wants Howe sacked, but was saying that before the derby to be fair. Said he has no plans B.

None of them thought the Burn injury warranted a red card but said Brobbey was luck not to get sent off, have to agree there like. Ref missed the late foul and would have been a second yellow.

Basically agreed we wanted it more and were the better team.

I'm not back at work through there until tomorrow. I will be sure to seek out the lads who were giving it the biggun before the game, but won't say a thing to the others I work with who are ok. I always tell the mouthpieces to keep it down as it always seems to come back and bite you on the arse, but they never listen.

Aye I told these lads when they took that photo on our pitch it would come back and bite them on the arse.

It usually does, which is why I don't wind them up too much. To be fair they are decent and one of them was worried before the game saying we have been really impressive so far.

Sunderland did have a favourable set of fixtures to kick off the season... but we're now 42% of the way into this campaign...

We've beaten Chelsea away, Newcastle at home and secured draws against Arsenal and Liverpool.

To be level on points after 16 games with Champions Liverpool and FA Cup winners Palace...

Always loved Sunderland, but for the first time in years I feel lucky to be a Sunderland fan. We've got a proper team!
